So, to summarise this, Aqua has been posting dire Covid predictions for WA for well over 12 months, still no Covid running rampant in WA. Aqua forecast the ruin of  WA economy, WA now lowest unemployment in Australia and best performing economy. I would say stick to your day job but you dont seem to know much about that either. (An alleged farmer who doesnt understand anything about basic plant or crop genetics). What an absolute dill.

rhino,

WA is like a farm on the top of a hill, with bushfires out of control heading for it, bragging that it is in fine shape because nothing is ablaze YET.

WA is like a fattie sitting on a couch watching the tour de france saying he is in better shape because his pulse and respiratory rate is less then the cyclists.

you are going the "early crow"

fancy think you can keep out a virus that has spread to every corner of the globe.

Nobody thinks that, and nobody has said that.

You're just making up bullshit, as usual.

In Niall Ferguson's 'Doom - The Politics of Catastrophe', he describes those economic forecasters who 'predicted' the 2007-2008 GFC.

After he'd researched their work, he noted that all of them had been predicting economic meltdown every year, some for over a decade.

They were all ignored, until they jagged one. Some were then hailed as economic 'prophets' by those who'd not looked back at their regular annual failed prophecies.

It reminded me of an experiment in 'predicting' airline crashes. Data was collected from many recent (at the time) airline crashes including insignificant details like the colour of the planes' branding... Long story short, they were able to successfully 'predict' with reasonable 'accuracy' the details of the next crash including a proximal date of the disaster.

We will see Mr North

Early days

The virus isn't going anywhere and neither is western Australia
They couldn't keep the cane toad out

If you'd been keeping up, you'd have known that the WA government has already warned West Australians that covid will enter WA after the hard border and travel restrictions have ended.

Doesn't require any 'clairvoyance' to jag that one.

What that state government is doing is bracing itself to preserve hospital resources, not eliminate covid once the hard border is removed.

Once again... NO-ONE has said that Western Australia (or anywhere else for that matter) can keep Covid out.

Its like some sort of weird obsession with you.

Why do we have to keep repeating this over and over?

The best we can hope for is to keep it out for as long as possible and try to make sure our health system is prepared and also to get everyone (or as many people as possible) vaccinated.

I analysed risk for many years , what you are trying to maintain is that WA is at increased risk because of Mcgowans border policy, any argument you make shows the opposite though and I deal in cold hard facts  , not airy fairy attempted analogies based on  what vision you saw in the paddock last night. So you can make as many stupid Nostradamus style predictions as you like, but the hard facts re, WA is at decreased risk and will remain so when the borders open. There is zero dispute amongst anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together that closing movement till as many people as possible are vaccinated is exactly the right tactic, as other countries and states are now proving this

um,

dear rhino, carl and north (the trifecta of cognitive dissonance).

australia has now sent
10 million
doses of vaccine overseas because they were about to expire.

they were
unwanted

so everyone has had ample time to get the vax and procrastinating at this point is a
"non fruitful " strategy.

what does it achieve except reducing peoples freedom of movement and prolonging their anxiety

No reduction of peoples' freedom of movement here in Perth as far as I can see.

Can't say I've seen any anxiety either, at least none related to Covid.
