Western Australia assesses Queensland as 'very low' COVID-19 risk, meaning quarantine-free travel

Western Australia's border restrictions for those travelling from Queensland will ease on Wednesday, after a COVID-19 scare delayed plans for quarantine-free travel to resume last week.

Sounds like a REALLY BAD idea to me. Especially since Queensland has reported 2 new cases today.

Hopefully, Mark McGowan will put a stop to this stupid plan before we get a major Covid outbreak here.
they will still need to be vaccinated to enter.

I notice there's an almost non stop procession of planes leaving Perth Airport this morning - and continuing well past the normal 5:15am - 8:00am FIFO 'window'.

Alan and Jayne must be sending most of their planes from here over to the Eastern States so they can start cashing in on the reopening of international and interstate travel over there.

Good luck to them. Better make the most of it though because I'm predicting almost all of Australia will be in lockdown again before Christmas. Except WA, hopefully (as long as Mark McGowan 'sticks to his guns' and isn't bullied by Scotty from Marketing and big business like the other States have been).

Yeah, I am on tenterhooks—can I enter Tassie, can I re-enter SA? So far, if I drive straight through Victoria stopping only to refuel I can enter Tassie. It may not remain like that.

the people of the eatern states have decided that the mediocre life of the chode is not worth living.
they prefer human flourishing to "lingering'
they prefer thriving to "surviving"

WA is now out of step with the entire planet.

how cowardly

Lol   Grin

We have no restrictions, and have only had a few days lockdown since the pandemic began.

Life is normal here, and has been for a very long time.

You're so out of touch with reality, it's not even funny anymore.

the marathon must be run.

every other place on earth has recognised this.

gweggy and carl are still in bed , congratulating themselves on their level of personal comfort , ignoring the fact that the brutal journey is still in front of them.

they definitely were fed their desert before their meat and veges as children

Again, we are not in lockdown, and we have no restrictions.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Throughout this pandemic, WA has been the best place in the world to live.

Life is completely normal here.

What part of this don't you understand?

again,

you and everyone else in WA is going to catch covid,
possibly repeatedly,
again, we now have vaccines being thrown in the bin because they expired and no one wanted them

recognising that all that can be done, has now been done, WA should join the rest of australia in living with covid.

why try to keep it out?
what benefit is that to WA?
your immunity is waning every day.

you want it circulating as a matter of urgnecy to keep priming your immune system

WA citizens will be more likely to be hospitalised because they will be catching it with declining immune levels

how foolish

Everyone is going to catch it eh? Do you have a timespan to go with that?

I'd bet you've never had the flu, let alone smallpox, cholera or polio.

So far about 175,000 Australians have contracted covid.

Didn't you tell us a while back that you were prepared get the Covid vaccine 100 times live on TV?

Well, we're still waiting... better hurry up and arrange it before more doses end up being thrown in the bin.

Be sure to let us know the date, time and channel in advance. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

well my friend, england is recording 50,000 cases a day, mainly in vaxxed people, not sick , but the virus is going to become an endemic nasal virus.

vaccines dont work to stop the nasal colonisation because that relies on a different antibody

Ig A from memory

so unless they come up with a nasal spray vaccine, you will be exposed to covid over and over.

WA gains nothing by waiting.

each day, their vaxxed population loses a little bit of immunity.

very foolish stuff
