Rio Tinto does not own the iron ore which enables your standard of living. You can also give up your internet services , scheme electricity and water, RFDS, these are all subsidised by city folk who earn the bulk of Australias income. And if you need any hospital or medical treatment you will have to pay for that as well. All subsidised by city folk. Live cattle trade, Lol Grin

the noble businessman travels overseas to trade and enrich the society. he is a giver.

the chode hides under the table in fortress australia and hopes to live off royalties from iron ore (that he is too lazy to mine). he is a taker

so when you sell something overseas you are a giver but when someone else does it they are a taker. gotcha.

contributor v consumer.

its fascinating that many city dwellers think being a consumer is some sort of noble calling.

they actually think living a parasitic existence enobles them.

incredible stuff

Its bizarre how overly simplistic this view is. How do you hope to make any money as a contributor if you have no one to consume it.

The noble righty lauds the noble consumer. The customer is always right, he says.

Great noble capitalists like the noble Donald,  ex-Entertainer In Chief and CEO of America Inc, always praised his customers. Russian oligarchs and Saudi sheikhs? Great guys, always up for a party, believe me. Scottish golfers? Good putters, just be sure to check the rooms for lighbulbs when they check out. Chinese whales? The hookers love them, always done in two minutes.

The big fella's a good customer himself. Rather than pay his bill, he offers the owner a selfie with the Donald to stick on the wall. Think how many customers will come back if they see that.

No, from the casinos to the Trump Foundation to Trump University to the citizens of America Inc, one thing's for sure: the customer is always right.

Unless it's a RIGGED witch hunt, so unfair. Then it's THEFT.

We need to study him, no? 5 years is the minimum.

we are discussing something that does not have anything to do wit trump and yet you and gweggy still see everything thru the trump lens..

the Trump derangement syndrome still rages  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Oh? You don't have an opinion on the "noble retailer"?

Perhaps you'd rather shift the paradigm.

Don't discuss customers, marketing, sales, the "noble capitalist" or the ex-Entertainer In Chief and CEO of America Inc.

We'll talk about the chodes instead, shall we?

The "noble righty". He's on holiday, leftards. He's no longer into America, he's now a jolly Maoist.

You?

simple.

produce cattle

sell to the chinese who make something for trade (phones white goods, cloths).

this is called 'trade'

your idea is

produce cattle

donate to city parasites who produce nothing.

this is called 'charity and entitlement"

i'll deal with the chinese and they can deal with me.

if you just want to consume and not produce, then both myself and the chinese should ignore you  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Fair enough, you take the cattle and we will take the iron ore, ok? The cattle export market is currently worth $1.35 Billion to Australia, iron ore market is worth 128  billion upwards. Because you favour the user pays principle then we will have to withdraw all services from rural areas including health, education etc, , you people just arent paying your way. And dont bother to ask for any iron ore money,  we dont want you farming parasites living of our mining money.

not a problem.

hospitals are a health hazard
and education is now indocrination.

happy to oblidge.

by the way, i own my cattle.
i think rio tinto owns the iron ore.

or do you and gweggy and carl get the shovels out every day and actually earn your keep

Rhino doesn't get the shovel out every day, dear. He saves it for special occasions.

If all this is true then we've been even luckier in Perth over the past 12 months than we believed.

Pulling back the curtain on WA’s ‘festering’ hotel quarantine conditions, ex-guard fears more virus leaks

https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/western-australia/pulling-back-the-cur...

The state’s hotel quarantine system has been plagued by five virus transmissions to security guards, now an ex-guard reveals how he put cling wrap around his head in protest of the lack of sanitation and PPE at a different hotel.

Quote:
″It’s a festering Petri dish,” is how a hotel quarantine whistleblower describes his time guarding international arrivals at Perth’s Intercontinental Hotel late last year, before a state review unmasked the unsafe conditions for security guards.

The security guard, who does not wish to be identified for work reasons, describes an unruly environment where guests would open their room doors at random, and he felt disgusted at the lack of sanitation. In one extraordinary revelation the guard said a guest was simply forgotten and stayed in the hotel for three months.

The guard worked for three months at the hotel via a subcontractor until he thought he contracted the virus and quit his $400-a-day pay packet in November 2020.

$400 a day??? To sit around playing with your phone all day? Paid for by taxpayers, of course. I was definitely in the wrong line of work for all those years. Roll Eyes

Quote:
Those he worked with were mostly foreigners on $23 an hour, who he said did not have a proper command of English and whose own sanitary standards were well below those expected for the job.

The guard said behind the theatre of arrivals being escorted from the airports and into the hotel under police guard, inside it was “chaos”.

He said arrivals were assigned rooms in a lottery system meaning families of four had to share a one-bed room, while a single adult got the penthouse.

“There’s no windows open in these hotels and at one point in September it was boiling and I remembered thinking, ‘I’m breathing it all in now, I’m breathing in corona’,” the self-confessed germophobe said.

Quote:
He claimed a man from China stayed at the hotel undetected for three months, well beyond his quarantine, because no one told him he could go until a nurse made the discovery.

lol... definitely a government run operation. Reminds me of a "returned traveller" who wrote to The West Australian a few weeks back and said (amongst other worrying things about the way things were being run) she was told she would be able to come out of her hotel room at
6:02PM
which was exactly 14 days to the minute after she arrived at Perth Airport. 6:02PM, not 6:00 or even 6:01PM. Roll Eyes

Quote:
He said the state of staff eating areas and toilets was “horrendous”, with food and takeaway wrappers all over the floor, and the bathrooms made him gag.

When the guard raised the lack of sanitation or masks with management, he claims to have been told to keep his mouth shut. Part of his contract included signing a waiver preventing workers from speaking to the media.

“They think they’re law enforcement, but we were babysitters at most,” he said.

But, I'm sure things have improved since then. Haven't they? Shocked

Casual rates, 12 hour shifts, no penalty rates,  works out to less than $25 per hour including weekends, nights and public holidays, substantially below award. Amazing Pecca isnt straight onto this .

Maximum shift length is 10 hours.

c) By agreement between the employer and the majority of affected employees at a particular establishment, an employee may be rostered to work up to 12 ordinary hours per shift if:

(i) proper health monitoring procedures are introduced;and

(ii) suitable roster arrangements are made;and

(iii) proper supervision is provided;and

(iv) adequate breaks are provided;and

(v) an adequate trial or review process is implemented when 12 hour shifts are first introduced.

You didn't read the rest of my post.

I can assure you that under the Modern Award, "The maximum number of ordinary hours that an employee may be rostered to work on a shift is 10."

However:

(c) By agreement between the employer and the majority of affected employees at a particular establishment,an employee may be rostered to work up to 12 ordinary hours per shift if:

(i) proper health monitoring procedures are introduced;and

(ii) suitable roster arrangements are made;and

Its irrelevant whether they agreed or not, they are working 12 hour shifts for below award money, which you are now defending. This is precious, you are now driven to  defend companies which pay below award wages. Im guessing you dont care because they are all of a certain ethnicity, eh?
