Correct Carl.

I agree governments and the media are deeply embarrassed about things like 4 day lockdowns for 1 case or 16 page articles .

Once the population got covid and discovered it was mild, the pollies and the media ghosted the covid over response.

No one wants to talk about covid in 2025
Except maybe you.

Most Australians have several hundred more pressing problems to fix.

I suppose being a bored old pensioner means you don't have much going on

So you can spend significant time on an insignificant threat

There are so many things wrong with that post I really don't know where to start.  Roll Eyes

And besides, we've been through all this many, many times over the past few years so I'm not going to bother again.

On a brighter note, I had my 7th Covid vaccination and my yearly flu vaccination today... Covid in the left arm, flu in the right.

And my 95 year old aunt had her flu shot (she had her 7th Covid vaccination a couple of months back).

Wow, 2 Shingles vaccinations and a Covid and Flu vaccination since late November.

Shouldn't I be dead by now? Sir Nail? Bobby? Care to comment?  Undecided

What a surprise. Not.

Western Australia’s Worst Flu Season Ever

WA recorded its worst flu season on record, averaging 200 cases a day last month. With 23,315 cases so far this year, it’s the 3rd time numbers topped 20,000 and the highest since federal records began in 2001.

Not a word about Covid, of course. However...

Ongoing Covid infections are hammering immune systems, leaving people more vulnerable to flu and other illnesses. No surprise WA is now seeing its worst flu season on record.

No surprise at all. And, I'm sure the WA government knows it but it'll be a cold day in hell before they admit it.

Government(s) too scared to say the C word anymore. That would actually be quite funny if the ongoing consequences were not so tragic.
