Mr McGowan said COVID would now be treated the same as any other respiratory condition.

HE DID NOT SAY "Covid is mild and no more dangerous than the flu"

Do you know how many respiratory conditions there are Dunce?

Once again you have lied. The little boy who got caught lying.

Many very serious respiratory diseases exist and you have minimalised people with diseases with your constant lies and BS by applying a quote from McGowan to your own narraitive.

Once again we can all see you are full of a mixture of elephant and horse sh*t.

Indeed. I'm wondering how much more they will be allowed to get away with (especially Reggie) before something is done? I really couldn't care less about how abusive and offensive they are with me but seeing as this is supposed to be a family site... well...

Anyway... I'll post this again seeing as it was lost in the off topic 'noise' generated by the Bobbsey twins.

Carl D wrote on Nov 10th, 2022 at 9:20am:
The shocking irresponsibility of the State and Federal governments in removing our last remaining Covid protections has already become apparent here in Perth.

On Monday I was up at Belmont Forum and noticed the "Masks must be worn on these premises" sign had gone from the front window of Specsavers (not that the staff were enforcing it anyway from what I'd seen over the past few weeks).

Even more concerning was when I took my elderly aunt to see her GP on Tuesday afternoon. There was still a "Please wear a mask" sign in the front window but when we went inside (wearing our KN95's) the first thing the maskless lady on the reception desk said to us was "You don't need to wear the masks now if you don't want to".

None of the 3 reception staff were wearing masks and only about 1 or 2 of the half dozen patients waiting were wearing them.

I gave her a long stare and said something like "yes, it does seem that way but we're keeping ours on, thanks". She then kinda sheepishly said "Oh, OK".

We then sat down (as far away from everyone else as we could) and waited. Fortunately, no one there was coughing up a lung at the time.

At least my aunt's GP was wearing a high quality mask similar to ours but I noticed a few of the other GP's were not wearing a mask at all or they were wearing surgical "baggy blues".

I can't believe this sort of thing is happening - especially with a new wave of vaccine and antiviral evading Covid variants already spreading here in Australia. Absolutely disgraceful.

A family site ??? Are you kidding us mate. Cheesy LOL

What about you continually pushing your big pharma poisons onto everyone when the weight of the evidence says they are not only ineffective but also BAD for people !! Is that what you mean by a family website carl ???

Hey, Marky Mark (McGowan).

Where's our Covid traffic light system and when will it be changed to amber (and later no doubt red)?

Probably be waiting a while regardless of how bad Covid gets here in WA since you've only just given the "all green" signal last Friday by removing our last few remaining Covid protections.

Edit: never mind, after seeing how impressive yet pointless Queensland's one is I have no doubt ours would be exactly the same.

https://twitter.com/qldhealth/status/1590513810603118593

Quote:
While the traffic light is amber, Queenslanders should wear a mask:
👉 in healthcare settings
👉 indoors, if you can’t socially distance
👉 on public transport
👉 if you are older/medically at risk
👉 around people who are vulnerable to COVID-19.

"Should" wear a mask which of course will mean 99% of the population still won't.

Mind you, it didn't say "should" when Queensland Health announced their traffic light system on October 31st.

https://twitter.com/qldhealth/status/1586900458983272449

Amber just says "wear a mask" without specifying whether it's compulsory, recommended or whatever.

And red says "wear a mask indoors" again without stating if it's compulsory or just "recommended".

Oh... "Please follow this advice". Yeah, right... I'm sure everyone will do that.  Roll Eyes

https://twitter.com/PaigeMcI/status/1587112877361860608

Quote:
On tonight's news they said that red meant masks were recommended indoors...which effectively means nobody will mask and nobody will enforce it. Useless!

Yep (at least she got that comment in before Queensland Health turned off the replies).

10 out of 10 though for making it look like they're doing something about Covid when they're really doing.... nothing.

How does a paper mask filter out sub micron biological matter ?

This what a proper biological suit looks like carl. You really are gullible mate.

KN95 and similar masks are not made from paper.

https://www.rollingstone.com/product-recommendations/lifestyle/n95-vs-kn95-masks...

Quote:
Both N95 masks and KN95 masks are made from multiple layers of synthetic material (typically a polypropylene plastic polymer) and are designed to be worn over the mouth and nose.

Wouldn't really have expected you to know that, of course.

And not designed for biological use either. OK on a worksite to filter out particulate matter and that's why they are sold in bunnings.

lol... I bet Basil Zempilas (Perth's Lord Mayor for all of our Eastern Staters) was having kittens when he saw the front page of today's The West Australian.

Don't worry, Baz... after reading the story (which was tucked away on page 11) I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing compulsory masks back in Perth for Christmas. It'll only be "recommended" or "encouraged" and we've seen how well that works out, haven't we?

Well, this certainly isn't in line with the "pandemic is over" narrative that's been fed to us by our governments, the media and big business during the past few months.

The front page of today's The Sunday Times.

I only had a quick look at page 7 and it was pretty much the same as what was in yesterday's The West Australian (with the added information about the hospitals).

As Effie Stephanidis (Mary Coustas) used to say many years ago:

"How embarrassment!"  Embarrassed

Wow... there's more information about Covid making a comeback (it never went away, of course) in today's paper than I've seen printed for months (other than the usual "pandemic is over" BS here and there).

As well as the front page there's page 7 (top left of image) and another 3 page Covid 'spread' further inside the paper. Sorry the print isn't readable because I had to reduce it quite a bit to post as an attachment but you get the idea.

Oh... the "Virus can't stop luxury cruise" story was interesting... turns out that a lot of the people who were boarding the Majestic Princess in Sydney yesterday didn't even know about the Covid outbreak until they arrived at the dock... but it didn't stop them boarding anyway.   Roll Eyes

Wonder what's going on? Has similar information been printed in other papers around Australia (especially Melbourne's Herald Sun which had their infamous "It's official - the pandemic is over" headline last month)?

Maybe the media is getting a bit concerned about possibly having to show up as defendants in future lawsuits brought on by the families of the people who are still dying from Covid every week "But, we were repeatedly told by the media that the pandemic was over".

Whatever the reason, hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more people wearing masks in shopping centres, etc. in the coming weeks.
