We've gone from the best to the worst place in the world for Covid in just over 3 months. Congratulations.

My aunt and I were going to vote early this morning at the polling place across from Belmont Forum (used to be a Retravision shop many years ago from memory).

After seeing how many people were lining up, some without masks and with no social distancing that we could see (despite advertising we've seen about polling places being "Covid Safe") we decided to give it a miss today.

Or we might have another look later in the day to see if it's less busy if we go for a drive after lunch.

its a fact that fear and hiding under your bed leads to mediocrity.

the west coast eagles who are usually a powerhouse are playing like firghtened school girls and have been thrashed ruthlessly in every match.

thats what happens whne you lose courage to stand up and be a man.
you start to behave like a frightened child.

it is the job of the father figure (in this case mcgowan ) to be strong powerful confident brave unflinching and able to crack jokes and be witty about any "problem" the people face as they will vibe with his vibe.

look at florida and texas which did better then NY and california.
they acted as if covid didnt exist and they did better then the cowering democrat states.

trump himself never flinched and acted scared.

look what happens when you get a shakey frightened "weak sauce " leader.

bad things.

the russian invasion of ukraine is a direct result of the vibe given off by the western leaders.

time for leaders to "man up"
time for the eagles to go into battle confident in themselves, not trying to find a safe space

there is no glory in safety.

Only in horse boys world did Florida and Texas do better than New York, why do you insist in telling lies?

Are you really that much of a failure that you have to lie (and hope nobody checks) to prove your pathetic point?

Well looks like you failed again, but given you admire such a huge failure as Trump, it's not surprising.

Incorrect.

You're looking at old data.

As of 3 days ago, California has a much lower death rate than both Florida and Texas.

Per 100,000 people:

Florida - 345

Texas - 304

California - 229

Try as hard as I may I'm struggling to find something even remotely funny about people dying and being hospitalised due to Covid.

161 deaths here in WA in the past 3 months since the "hard border" which enabled us to "only" have 9 deaths in 2 years finally fell.

Nearly 5,500 dead from Covid for the whole of Australia since the beginning of this year. The country is 'on track' to have 15,000 (some say it might be as high as 18,000) Covid deaths by the end of this year.

Can't imagine any sane person cracking jokes and being witty about that.

And, since you're obviously in the "we're all going to get Covid so why bother trying to stop or slow it" camp here's something just for you.

Others are also welcome to play.

"We're all going to get COVID so there's no point trying to prevent it anymore" is the stupidest self-fulfilling prophecy since _____________.

Go.

Oh, my aunt and I did manage to vote yesterday afternoon after we went back and the polling place was a lot quieter.

Won't say who we voted for except to say that Scott Morrison and the Liberals are now another 2 votes closer to defeat on May 21st.  Smiley

Indeed, he is in that camp.

Everyone is going to die, so why does aqua bother wearing a seat belt?  Why does he look both ways before crossing the road?  Why does he eat healthy foods?  Why does he take the medications prescribed to him by his doctor?  Why does he stop at stop signs?  Why does he wear a helmet when riding a horse/pushbike/motorbike?

Does he think he's invincible?

He's gonna day sooner or later - why do so many things to try and prevent it?

Fewer in Texas and Florida than in NY but more than in California.
