Suck on that, leftards.

Look on the bright side, Greggery, it'll kill off your chodes, those with dicks wider than they're long.

They should have read Zuby while they had a chance.

You should be okay.

Big announcement from Mark McGowan coming up in a few minutes (nearly 7:30 here).

Hope he's decided not to open up on February 5th.

Looks like we're still planning to reopen on February 5th but under very strict conditions including continuing quarantine.

Still hoping for a delay in the reopening but its a lot better than what the other States have done.

Not too keen on the self quarantine part unless it is enforced with regular checks or the use of a tracking device.

Surprise surprise.

12/ Most people value safety and security more than freedom and liberty, even if said 'safety' is merely an illusion.

They;re running out of time.

McGowan's strategically ambiguous rhetoric on the matter is receding.

Good news:

Premier Mark McGowan announces delay to WA border opening amid fears Omicron will 'cripple' state

The planned reopening of Western Australia's border to the rest of the country on February 5 will be delayed indefinitely, Premier Mark McGowan has announced.

Mr McGowan called a late night press conference to announce the delay, which he said was due to the changing health risks posed by the Omicron COVID-19 variant.

He said a new date would be considered over the next month.

A new date?

Come come. You people think you're better than us, well I have news for you.

You're not. You people have just as many tinted races as we do.

Boongs, Muslims, terror suspects, dole bludgers, the lot.

You people should have thought of covid before you went and got infected.

Now you'll get it for sure.

I see WA is following New Zealand's strategy.

No reopening until booster doses administered reach 80 - 90 %.

No date given for reopening of the border

Watch out WA's unvaxxed! The gloves are off!

McGowan proves there is no strategy, just stalling.

The right move until Omicron goes down maybe, but you can't do it forever.

WA will never have enough vaccinations, as every schoolboy knows.

Yes, well done Mark McGowan.  Smiley

Now, let's wait and see who is going to be first up with threats to take him and the WA government to court for not reopening on February 5th.

I have 3 big businesses in mind already and one of them has previously threatened to take any States that refused to reopen to court.

I'll have my bag of popcorn ready. Cool

What happened tonight was a powerful strategic move.

Now, both WA politicians and senior medical advisors are off the hook.

If omicron gets to WA anyway, then it won't be because the government opened the gate, it will be 'an act of god'.

And the blame has now been deflected onto those unvaxxed. They are now the reason WA can't reopen its borders.

It won't surprise me if WA's unvaxxed are ordered to remain inside at home indefinitely except in medical emergencies.

omicron doesnt really care what mr mcgowan thinks or does.
its going to do what its going to do.
the ideal time to open would be whilst people have the highest level of antibodies .
delay doesnt really help you.

qld saw a DROP in the number of ICU admissions yesterday.

and lets not forget omicron is killing significantly less people then seasonal flu in 2018 which killed several thousand.

in fact, it will probably just be the case that omicron kills the same people the flu used to.

the flu needle in 2018 had a 58 % efficacy and thats probably comparable to current corona vaccines.

we didnt close states in 2018 but we are now.

i think its just because people havent dealt with it before.

i know about 35 people in qld who have had omicron and they are all fine.
a few had a day or two with headaches and temps and felt exhausted but all fine now.

nowhere near as bad as ross river or q fever.
not even in the same ballpark.

they are now not going to be able to be terrified by the mainstream media because it wasnt terrible.

thats probably what ends the pandemic in a month to 6 weeks.

everyone gets it and then sees it wasnt such a big deal.

WA is just delaying because they are scared.
why wouldnt people be scared when this has been blown up in the media for the last 2 years.

thats unnatural.
covid is natural.
getting it is natural.

a year spent in africa where malaria still kills 1 million people a year, who die a horrible death , would get some people back in sync with nature.

ask an african if he fears a sniffley nose more then a systemic illness that attacks your brain and your liver .

he'll look at you like your from another planet.

which you are.

planet "weak fragile soft pussy"

Poor aqua... I guess Mark McGowan also didn't read your email.  Roll Eyes

I see you're still comparing COVID-19 with the flu.

I've mentioned this before but I'm sure it needs repeating:

When did Australia have this many deaths and hospitalisations from the flu in the middle of summer?

And, what do you think is going to happen when Australia gets hit with COVID-19 and the flu at the same time when winter arrives in a few months time, especially if there's another newer, more vaccine resistant Covid variant to deal with?

At least WA may be spared having to deal with the flu for the third year in a row due to our continuing strict border controls and that will be good. Especially for the elderly and immunocompromised, etc.
