Who's been spying on Aussie pencil cases, as every schoolboy knows?

I got detention for that. Your progressive pedagogy-set back on jolly old Scandinavia probably gave you an award.

What did they give you for writing CUNT on your knuckles in Liquid Paper?

A holiday to New South Wales?

Please trnslte into Abrignl one.

Hard to believe that so many Australians are ignorant of the multiple indigenous languages still spoken today as a first language in remote Australia with a kriol used as a lingua franca in remote communities.

Reminds me of the Chamberlain tragedy when aboriginal elders in central Australia tried to advise mainstream Australians that dingos were more than capable of snatching unattended babies but were ignored and scoffed at as ignorant and backward.

If they sent their kids to school we wouldn't have this dialect problem.

Here's the toilet roll shelves of our local IGA in Kooyong Rd. Rivervale this morning.

Just some tissues left. I think that might be paper towels on the top shelf, I didn't have a good look.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people? Nearly 2 years after the Great Toilet Roll Panic of 2020 surely everyone would realized by now just how ridiculous hoarding toilet paper is?  Cheesy

Especially since we're still 3 weeks away from WA's Grand Reopening & Let It Rip Day.

We need a new Covid variant that only targets stupid people - trouble is, if that happened there wouldn't be too many of us left on Planet Earth which may not be such a bad thing come to think of it...

Speaking to Europeans, this obsession with toilet paper seems to be an 'Anglo' thing.

Ironic that tissue paper isn't hoarded, being, as it is, an effective catch-all for every leaking hole.

I went to the Vic Park Woolworths today, and they didn't have a single pain killer on the shelf.

All Panadol, Nurofen, and Aspirin completely sold out. Not a single pack left.

In the meat section, there was just one pack of sausages, a couple of packs of gravy beef, and a single pack of chicken mince.

Strangely, there was still some toilet paper left on the shelves. Not much though.

People are idiots.

Hi, Greg.

I didn't have a look at the shelves with Panadol and other pain killers while I was at IGA but I'll bet they were empty as well.

This is what started the 'Panadol Panic':

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10385667/Covid-Australia-Panic-buying-P...

Coles has now put limits on buying Panadol and other painkillers (and toilet rolls, pasta, etc.) but I wouldn't be surprised if the 'tag teams' are back in action again - one family member or friend goes in to buy as many as they can then they come out and the next one goes in and so on...

Just like what was happening when panic buying started at the beginning of the pandemic 2 years ago.

So much for "we're all in this together" and "let's all look after each other" and all the other meaningless, feel good things we've heard over the past 2 years.

As soon as I heard that guy on TV say this:

'The first thing to do is to be prepared. My advice is that you make sure you have some paracetamol or ibuprofen at home.'

I knew it would result in panic buying.

Just look at what the mandating dictator has done to you lot, you are all alone confused and isolated from the rest of the world with a leader playing Russian roulette with mother nature, yikes!

Pretty soon the rest of Australia will be mandating West Australians to stay put as their infection numbers surge from Feb 5th and the rest of us get back to some normality, we don't want them here.

I still have to ask (as a lot of people are asking)... who is going to enforce these mandates? Checking vaccination certificates, etc.?

Because, as has been said many times already... I'm sure the staff at these places where vaccination proof will be required would rightfully say that it isn't their job and they're not getting paid enough to do their normal jobs as well as checking and putting up with abusive customers who don't have or don't want to show proof of vaccination of which I'm sure there will be many.

And, if this is 'enforced' the same way check ins and social distancing, etc. are 'enforced' right now (i.e. they're not) then the whole thing is a complete waste of time and effort.

But... that's government for you.  Roll Eyes
