I've been to Buckingham Palace, cods.

I stood out front and had my photo taken.

I've even waved to the Queen.

I just don't think she should be our Head of State.

Lizzy's a tough old bird - I have quite a bit of respect for her.

If Harry wants to emigrate, good luck to him.

who has wished him bad luck????

as head of state how does she affect you..

She was born into the position.

That's not right.

Our HoS should be an Australian, who lives in Australia, and who is chosen by Australians.

Don't you agree?[/quote]

let me know how that will possibly affect your daily life.. Huh Roll Eyes Roll Eyes....then I will discuss it...

It prevents me, every day, from ever becoming Head of State.

Still don't want to discuss?

It's a perfectly legitimate answer.

Why should I be denied the opportunity to be our nation's Head of State, just because I wasn't born into a particular family?

Do you think that's fair?

not sure many will bother with them to be honest.....Harry has turned his back on his country as well as his family....even the Duke of Windsor didnt stoop to selling his name.... lost any respect I ever had for Harry..

But the Duke of Windsor did cozy up to Hitler.

And there was that long spoken of deal between Hitler and Edward VIII being installed as a puppet King if and when the Germans defeated the British.

he got thrown out of the country    and was very bitter   but yes I did read somewhere before the war was declared he thought Hitler had a lot of virtues..... which in a way he did... he brought Germany back from the brink after WW1..he got them working again..gave them back their pride if you like.........

unfortunately he was bonkers....but he had this power this charisma if you like that made people hang on his every word...and worse follow him....the Duke was a Pawn in his plans thats all......the Brits would never have stood for it....in fact history tells us what they thought of him once they found out.....he was never really allowed back into the country......and like Harry he was very very popular with the public....he had it all......well in hindsight he did

How Harry let himself captured by a third rate Hollywood nimphette is a mystery.
An actress??? Meghan? Meghan is like Jayden. It's like a royal princess married a Jayden.

I guess there's an intractable problem with the Head of state or government or other political / cultural leadership being inheritable (Bearing in mind that the sovereign is technically above the law)... Its detachment from ascendancy through merit.

You can never predict that the character and/or morality of those destined by birth to become your nation's leaders are (or will be) worthy of the role.

Has Prince Andrew proved himself worthy of his inherited status?

Also, isn't it possible or likely that the British establishment and security services (MI5 etc) knew of Price Andrew's alleged criminal activity long before it became public (but kept the information from the British public)?

I've said it here before

This whole farce was an easy prediction years ago.

Check clips and interviews back before Harry met Meghan... Despite his training and upbringing he was self-conscious and insecure.... Just like his mother.

The signs were there that the enormous responsibilities of being an HRH were going to overwhelm his precarious sense of self.

Combine that with his ever decreasing importance within the royal hierarchy as William had one kid after another (heirs and spares) ... The royal family is regimented like the military, with William and his baby children outranking Harry. He was fast becoming irrelevant to the monarchy as his uncle, Edward, has been for years... William got all the royal attention (after his grandmother and father) with precious little interest in what Harry wanted (if he even knew).

Not a good outcome for a person with an almost inexplicable inferiority complex... No doubt he needed a strong woman in his life to balance this and to instruct him... Enter an American... Just like his great-great uncle David (Edward VIII), he fell for the idea of a 'free' spirit with a strong personality to guide him out of royal life and into a Shangri-La of parties and low responsibility.

Of course, Wallis Simpson, herself, was mortified that, in the end, she couldn't escape Edward without being treated like filth on both sides of the Atlantic and laid down in the bed of nails she'd made for herself. She only ever thought their affair would just be a scandalous fling that would end with his ascension to the throne.

But Megan is no Wallis and this is not 1937 (while Harry is an Edward/David) and when she's done with him and his bone-deep insecurity, she'll be moving on... No laying down for the rest of her life on a bed of nails for her.

Never understood why he couldn't do as he pleases. I strongly suspect that a great deal of acrimony towards them is because Meghan is brown. And she's been cast villain from day 1.

Suspect?

I'll come right out and say it: they attack Harry because they're horrible little racists.

Like you attack Trump and his darkie foreign wife.
