I have noticed that recently my weight plateaus and then varies a couple of kilograms on either side of where I get. I have taken up drinking a few times in the last month. And I notice that the weight started coming off the days after having a drink. I think the alcohol releases the subconscious thoughts to a point where I discover what it is that is holding me back.

Going sober for nearly a year back in 2015, I lost 25kg. I had a few drinks in October of that year after going a while with headaches and discombobulation. Had I not drunk anymore than once in a couple of months, my weight would not have come back. But I do know that the rare occasion of drinking alcohol will help shake the plateauing of weight and get me back on track.
