I think his legal representation have a right to hear the witness statements first hand. It is extraordinarily easy to make children manufacture memories . And it has happened before that a large number of children have testified to child abuse and it has turned out later to be a wrongful conviction and the incidents the children testified about never actually happened. In fact its quite common for children to wrongfully accuse adults of child sexual abuse.

yes I get that rhino....but this is a 6yr old...

Rhino is right. Many children have fabricated lies, mostly stimulated by adults. Take that Circus Family in the Blue Mountains - busted for paedophilia abuse on its staff and trainees. Went for years. Members of the family did long times. All 'fabricated' by children of a mother related to the Circus family that held deep religious discrimination and made the kids fabricate lies of being abused in their care and about other kids. Very nasty consequences from their lies.

I knew a few kids when young who would leave crayon art pictures of big people bending over little people with a dark sky and spiderwebs on the house, around the school for the Teachers to find. Caused a real bad vibe when the Teachers all got very angry when no-one owned up at the Assembly, no matter how much the Teachers pleaded and promised no punishment. First sad, then later angry.

were they accused by a 6 yr old?... I recall the case but not the outcome.....

if there is no way to check a childs story

then how would you deal with it?... ignore it maybe   I dont know how they investigate these cases    but to make children possibly repeat everything in court... I dont care if it is via video.......I think is wrong.
Its easy to implant memories, particularly with young children.  Experienced law enforcement officers generally hold a grim view of the world and hold extreme bias. Unfortunately it is imperative that the accusers are held to scrutiny. This young  man may very well be guilty, but if he is not there is more than his reputation at stake here and there are lots of innocent people in  jail.

yes but that happens in every crime doesnt it???...

I am sure the authorities have more than just asking questions  regarding getting proof......as for this young man...well hes 22 .. I dont wish to condemn him he looks like he may have lived a sheltered life.perhaps mum and dad too busy to spend time with him....I would like to think there is a lot of help out there for him as well.........

Those little kids thought that what they were providing in little written letters too - was the right thing to do under guidance from their covert Mother. The Circus Family was grilled by the Media and condemned publically. Basically 'ruined' by a false accusation of sexual abuse. It's only recently, as the kids got older and the stories started to fall apart, has the Circus Family recieved any 'positive' outcomes now.

When you investigate claims made by Children, you must always investigate the adult influences around them - even if they are adults supporting the children's wellbeing.

sexual abuse allegations have a much higher likelyhood than other crimes of being found falsely reported. Child sexual abuse allegations  for example are quite often fabricated by women  in child custody battles.

This is an extremely difficult situation.  While there are special interview techniques used with children, it can be very difficult to separate fact from perception (note I did not say fiction) . However in a situation where a persons freedom and reputation are at stake the child must be interviewed and the defence team allowed to see that interview and have questions of their own asked of the child.

Not pleasant for anyone, however it must be done.

I have a Client that is involved in a nasty spiteful fight over her kid with her ex. Both sling lies and cry victimhood. Both ignore the advise of Professional support systems (even if they take the taxpayer's money of course via benefits) - and its just going to get worse.

The kid has a few options:
a) Do what Daddy says
b) Do what Mummy says
---> Both of whom only have their selfish needs as a priority and not that of the kid's.
c) Do what 'God' (the System) says like a newly born 'Orphan' and maybe, if 'God' treats him 'professionally' - he might just survive all this.
---> if the System fails him too. Then he really has no hope and will end up in Prison.

There is really not much out there for kids jilted by parent's who really 'don't care' and take 'adult' responsibility for having kids. Ward of the State, Orphanages, etc - are really very spartan efforts.
Both parent's would exploit any 'compassion' shown by others, at a jump to offload another kid so they can have more with others (to which they can't afford, etc).

Very sad to hear, nine girls have come forward, where there's smoke there's fire.

I bet this Kyle Daniels has himself suffered from sexual abuse in his younger years, not trying to defend him he should get the full force of the law for what he has done.

And the girls should be counselled so they can recover from this episode in their life, because if they don't some of them may go on to commit the same thing in later life.

lot of extrapolation on your part without adequate knowledge.

Yes I agree, but more often than not the perpetrators are damaged goods to start with.

I wonder if all this 'virtual reality', 'online existence' just detaches people from reality and brings out their inner idiot and monster which, in a fully face-to-face society, would be too ashamed and suppressed to manifest itself.

Take people out camping - away from all the 'gizmos'.
Watch the change after the first week.
...then 4 weeks later, after the 'need' for the gizmos of TV Media and Internet are long forgotten.
Then introduce them again and you'll see the change back almost instantly.

Their minds do become detached from the immediate surrounding reality and the people around them.

...its almost like when they put on a little gold 'precious' Ring and they just vanish before you.
