If Obama had a majority in the Senate he would have pushed his choice through, this is all double standard. After all the misery the Left has heaped on Donald Trump he didn't owe them any favors!
Obama tried, that's not in dispute. It's the fact that the very people now who said he shouldn't for the vast cataloug of reasons decided that all of a sudden because they had the power, those reasons didn't matter.
You're lucky it's the sides of politics doing this that it is. If it was reversed, the right would be out in force with their guns.
Sometimes I can understand the desire.
Trump's legacy is worse than we could have ever imagined and the Dems have failed. If they come out and say "there was nothing we could do" they and the US deserve it's fate.
"There was nothing we could do" is something that has never crossed the minds of the Republicans. They stand for power, no morals, no honour, just power.
The Dems need to take notice. They've tried putting country first. They tried to pass stimulus measures, but the Republicans only cared about power.
I don't think the Dems, especially with the upcoming progressive movement, have the talent or the desire to be as ruthless, to poo all over the constitution and exploit the entire country, the people, their voters, for their own gains.
Their sense of duty has been their downfall.
Hopefully, some up and comers with no shame and the mentality of "what can the country do for me" can rise through the ranks into at least an advisory position to provide some yin to the current leaderships yang (not Andrew).
Well played Republicans.
May you and your families experience the pain you'll inflict on the country first before the people you've exploited for power, but sadly, that's now how this works...
