 very true, but watch what happens after the election should the Dems win both houses and Biden is president. Watch them scream when the Dems increase the number of judges in the supreme court,  I would have to agree with Phil - much of the Republican party are career politicians - just as bad as the Democrats. However there is a new breed of Republicans who are really more interested in policies than politics. That is Jordon, Meadows, Johnson and others known as the "freedom Caucus" libertarian minded who support America's first non political President - Donald Trump. Now to set Skippy straight. The Supreme court have always had 9 judges. When RBG died that left a vacancy. The Republicans chose a candidate to fill the seat. Thats not, as the Democrats are claiming - "court stacking". Now the Democrats are threatening to increase the number of justices to 12 or more - that is court stacking. I know you lack brains, I also knew somebody like you or the mechanic would jump an this and make a dumb claim , as you just did. Go get educated , see how many times there have been more than 9 Justices on the Supreme court bench. Thanks for educamating me Skippy! But the fact remains, there are 3 branches of gov, the executive, judicial and legislative. The judicial branch (what we are talking about) is about upholding the essence of the highest law of the land - the constitution. IT is NOT about working outside the law and ignoring the constitution or making new laws. It is a conservative body . The Supreme Court of the United States is not just a Conservative Body, it's a Political Conservative Body by design.
The Founding Fathers knew this, & if they wanted the Supreme Court to be otherwise they would have chosen a non-political process in which to Nominate & Confirm Justices to the Court. They carefully intended that the process they chose would be political.
If the American People want the US Constitution changed, as considered & authorized by the American Founding Fathers, they, & only they, have the power, & the Right, to amend their Sacred Document.
Congress can only suggest changes, but only the American People can make any of those suggestions the Law of the Land.
The government is permitted to govern only through the express consent of the governed........."We the People"..... .. I would have to somewhat disagree.. It is a “Constitutional” body... Their job is to uphold the constitution as it is WRITTEN.... So if the demonrats, or anyone else, try to take away your freedoms of speech, 2nd amendment etc the US Supreme Court Are there to slap them down...
