Signs of Life on Venus
Sep 15th, 2020 at 1:55am

Not little green men but if there are two places in our solar system with life there are likely to be others -- in this and other solar systems.

Quote:
Possible signs of life have been detected on Venus.

Researchers have spotted phosphine in the atmosphere of our neighbouring planet, suggesting that it may be home to alien life.

The discovery is not a direct observation of life on another planet. But the sheer quantity of phosphine on Venus cannot be explained through any known process, leading researchers to suggest that it is a sign of alien life in our solar system.

On Earth, phosphine is one of the most foul-smelling and toxic gases there is, with the odour of rotting fish and found in places such as pond slime and penguin dung. While it is made through some industrial processes, it is also created by anaerobic organisms, such as bacteria and microbes.

Huh. Well Venus is more likely than mars to have had life at some point but somehow the planet lost its atmosphere and got too hot for us to go have a look.

We lived on Mars and Venus before we destroyed Venus with Pollution and Climate change, while we destroyed Mars with all out Nuclear War.

Earth is our only hope.

Yes. Men came from Mars and Women came from Venus then they met on Earth and started breeding.

Phosphine gas?

It means nothing.
The scientists just haven't understood the
cloud chemistry of Venus.

My bet it that there is microbial life in the clouds and it originated here on Earth and these extremophiles migrated there after a collision with Earth and were thrown into space.

We also know some microbes can survive in the vacuum of space for a long time.

So the DNA will show it is earth life on Venus and not a new form of life that was created independently. fOr it started on Venus and then life formed here the same way starting with a Venus microbe.

We will have a common ancestor, is my point.

Same if life is found on Mars.
It could have started on Mars and came here in an asteroid.
We could all be Martians.

I'm gonna read the Sign Craft on this one and say that 'Life' in it's official sense will be found on Pluto. You know, the one that was cast down like Lucifer from being an 'official' Planet. I think it a worthy 'challenge' for Humanity to prove itself to have to find the 'First Life' beyond our own - so far away and not as easy as finding it next door in Mars. Looks like its not the girl next door. As we are at the outer rim of our Galaxy, like a nice Rural population dispersal. It's a long walk down the road to the nearest girl around. Shame it wasn't the Moon.

After Pluto will be a long void - millions of worlds discovered, but none have life much beyond the odd amoeba. We're missing something.

As for life on this world? Er, yeah... Roll Eyes

Oh. And Life on Pluto will be so 'Alien' to ours that it will be dangerous in the least to 'our' Life in the most contagia like way - like a Serpent in the Garden.

Wink
