Reply #1 - Jul 15^th, 2020 at 6:21pm My travels lately are boring: drive to Pt Melbourne, drive onto the ferry, drive to Launceston, drive to B&B, go to block, start work. 2 weeks later (3 weeks this time) do it all in reverse.

Huh! You think that’s boring.... my travel is once every 3-4 days, 5 mins uo the road to local supermarket, news agency, post office, then home again.
Repeat again 4 days later. 💤 😴
Oh once a week drag rubbish bin down driveway with golf buggy... that’s thrilling 😏
I can’t use golf buggy to get around anywhere else because ground is too wet and soggy boggy 🤨
So once a week with buggy, staying on gravel driveway for bin nights, is the thrill for my week!

A light drizzle, over days; turning into a pelting mist, began to make the drain detritus swell over the gutters. As the easements turned to causeways, and the causeways turned to cricks and the cricks turned to rivulets, the slow rythms of the hinterlands rumbled and reeled in the usual motor-cade crawl of Our Pestilential Lord Of Ennui.

Reply #7 - Jul 16^th, 2020 at 3:15pm Last night on SBS I think was the last episode of Tony Robinson’s railway journeys around the world. It’s been amazing to watch. I’ve absolutely loved it. These travel shows on tv are a good mind escape during these restrictive times. (Tony Robinson's World By Rail streaming now on SBS On Demand)

Took Mum for a drive to the Barossa Valley yesterday. If there is a flareup here I want to make sure Mum has been out lots because she is slightly claustrophobic. Have enough to cope with—deafness, dementia and incontinence and then there are Mum’s problems Grin

Probably go for a drive south tomorrow, be a market in Victor Harbor or Pt Elliot or Goolwa and she does like markets selling stuff other than food.

Jove, a home brewer with incontinence? Is this some kind of cruel joke? Seriously, did mum have a good trip? What's the quality of viticulture in the valley ATM? My grape harvest was poor this year. The bats didn't help. The best I could do was turn them into sultanas.

No, it was a joke, Mum has the deafness, dementia and diuretics. I just have deafness and arthritis—amazingly, the arthritis is in remission (well, I don’t have any arthritis pain just lately.)

I do have a small bladder, it seems—so if I am going to imbibe a cleansing ale or two I do it in the afternoon then I can sleep OK, get me?

(PS: drinking a Deschutes Fresh Haze right now, bit old, I think, but still a damn fine beer.)

Ummmm all Off Topic, ummmm. Oh I know—I WISH I could travel to Oregon and visit the Deschutes brewery, phew, On Topic!
