It's no wonder the Climate Change issue has been made worse if anything, rather than addressed.

COVID-19 will be nothing in terms of human suffering and death when climate change really kicks in.

I mean, I hope not, I've never wanted to be wrong about anything more than that, but I trust in the experts...

Covid -19 numbers are up because testing has increased.

If you test twice as many drivers you get twice as many drunk drivers.

You really are are a cheery little troll! Fear mongering  - again. Viruses die in warmer climes - your Armageddon prophesy indicates your lack of basic science.

And yes herd immunity is having an effect and what usually happens during a pandemic the virus lethality decreases because the virus kills to many of its hosts - its survival is at stake.

Climate change???  Grin Grin Grin

Agreed, hence why I said,

Now I'll admit that's on the high end of estimations because that is assuming the death rate is 5.5% calculated from known cases vs deaths but given the issues with testing (thanks to Trump) and the asymptomatic nature of the virus the actual number of cases would be much higher which would in turn lower the death rate, but you're still looking at millions dead in the version where Trump is deliberately infecting people at his rallies to achieve herd immunity which is what you're saying to justify his selfish actions.

In your world, a vote for Trump is a vote for millions of dead Americans.

The more you test, the more positive cases you will find out there, and this will impact the results of death rate calculations that my post was based on, which I made clear.

You of all people trying to lecture others about missing a basic understanding of science?

Thanks, that's a good one.

Herd immunity is developing - the numbers of new cases are falling as well as the lethality.

Quote:
The US surpassed 2 million confirmed coronavirus cases on Wednesday night as new hotspots emerge and hospitalisations go up in some states.

More than 112,000 people have died from COVID-19 nationwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The spike in numbers highlights how complicated it is to stop the spread of the virus despite early hotspots such as New York and New Jersey seeing improved numbers.

Since Memorial Day, the number of coronavirus hospitalisations has gone up in at least a dozen states, according to data CNN aggregated from the Covid Tracking Project between May 25 to June 9.

They are Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Utah. An additional 22 states are trending downward while nine others are holding steady.

An additional 100,000 more people will die from coronavirus by September, said Dr. Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute.

I must say, Rich, it's amazing how someone can be wrong each and every time. I always thought you couldn't fool all of the people all of the time. Surely they'd get something right occasionally, no?

But not you. Do you know how I can find out if something's true? Read your posts, then assume the opposite. You should outsource your services to factcheckers. Why bother with all that boring checking? Just read a Rich post and you'll know it's a porkie.

Herd immunity requires 90-90% of the population to be immune right?

With the current death rate of known infections vs deaths, if 95% of the US has herd immunity from spreading the virus alone (not a future vaccine), that's 17 million people dead.  17 million people dead because of Trump if you're linking his rallies to herd immunity.

Anything less will not achieve herd immunity and the deaths that accompany the infections will be for nothing and besides, the entire point of herd immunity is to avoid infections by using vaccinations to make the population immune.

Infecting the population to reach a point of immunity...  It's a serious "wtf are you talking about" moment.

But alas, it's just a basic tard's Trump defense...

4 Americans died in the Benghazi attack that you still to this day want to see Hillary in Gitmo for.  But you're ok with Trump's death count being millions?

ooof...

Many people on here doubt the number of Jews that died in the Holocaust but if you ignore those bigots and take the accepted value, around 6 million, Trump's death count would be 2-3 times higher than that, if your defense of him Rich is reality, more if you take the bigots version of the Holocaust into account.

That's a really great defense, you've really topped yourself with this one.  Bravo.

Rich is on fire right now. These are his most productive days. Imagine the sort of world we could have if we put a bunch of global citizens like Rich in pyjamas and let them post past their bedtime.

Poverty, world peace, the pandemic - we could solve it all.

Just remember: always believe the exact opposite of what Rich thinks and you can't go wrong.

Yes, Summer has killed it in the USA, no doubt about it.  Too bad for the 3000 who died overnight with it.  They were just hypochondriacs, pretending to be sick.

Too bad you don't understand the meaning of "spiked". Wink

Lack of social distancing, the use of pepper balls to get the rioters to cry and snot ( where the infections come from). Why should they not have spiked if social distancing was the cure for infection?

You obviously dont understand anything about this virus.

"The incubation period for COVID-19, which is the time between exposure to the virus (becoming infected) and symptom onset, is on average 5-6 days, however can be up to 14 days. During this period, also known as the “pre-symptomatic” period, some infected persons can be contagious. Therefore, transmission from a pre-symptomatic case can occur before symptom onset."

Maybe some of those recent infections where protesters?,
