ELO's Hold on Tight had French lyrics. I had forgotten that. That "Time" album is my favourite. Back then bands actually did themed albums. Do musicians still do that?

I believe that Debbie does speak some French although
I don't know how well.
I believe it would be enough to get by in France.
She probably used French in many songs to appeal to
the French pop music market.
She was very clever at marketing her image and songs.
