NSW has announced most restrictions will stay in place until a vaccine is found. I suspect the other states will follow suit

That's 12 to 18 months away
I don't think most people will tolerate the restrictions for that long

bravo.

they wont tolerate them for another 6 weeks , far less 18 months

How will the people end the restrictions... Break into restaurants and bars?

QLD has started closing some beaches. Not all. Just some. So people end up more concentrated at the remaining open beaches. That's probably the stupidest one.

yeah some of us depend on commonsense  Roll Eyes I know not many have that any more....

BEACH CLOSED means  if its a BEACH Undecided ITS CLOSED... but some folks need signs up and even then its hard for them to get a grip on it..

look at the number of people who drive through "stop"signs... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes..bet you have done that as well..

just sayin!

I seem to remember us struggling with wearing seat belts as well..... then they decided to fine us  and that fixed the problem....

now its keeping your hands on the wheel and your mind on the road.....mmmmmm.....we are still disappointing in that direction....but we will learn...its not smart to use our smart phone whilst driving...

some of us are slow learners....if we want to be Covid19 free   ... like we also wish to be smallpox free.. then we will do as we are told..

um

no

the politicians will start to percieve that their customers (ie the voting public) arent supportive of the lockdown and then the politicians will , in their own self interest "pander ' to the population and get in front of the mob and pretend to lead.

people are fickle

at the moment they are all fearful.

but 6 weeks of hanging out with their family will see that fear transform into anger, especially when  they see numbers of cases nowhere near what the fear mongers said.

it is always the way.

sometimes i think scomo and albo take the temperature of the electorate and then make up their policy.

that policy will switch to peoples liberty and to the economy.

dig up this post in 6 weeks and tell me i was right.
there is zero chance of a lockdown til a vaccine.

zero

people power eh??

Yes, people are fickle and politicians are shrewd...

Morrison used the Bondi Beach fiasco to wag his finger at the Australian public blaming them for needing to close bars, clubs and restaurants... As if he wasn't going to do that anyway...

The Australian people may like to get revved up... But susceptible to being 'told off'... All it would take is another outbreak and a good finger wagging would be in order for another shutdown.

There may be some regulation about distance from a pork-barrel , maybe total lock-down , police checks and unemployment.

Its funny in a sad kind of way when the 50 cent army tries to get comically colloquial...

Humour doesn't travel well... Makes it doubly harder when you write it instead of saying it... To us it just looks like word salad

I'd be unlikely to get Chinese humour... You don't get ours.

It must be sad being obsessed about destroying CCP.  Do you imagine it influences any one who is relevant to it?

We Europeans have been through this last century so there's not much we can't tell you about the CCP - Its a Stalinist-National Socialist state, what's there to like?

We Europeans know how it starts, how it holds onto power and how it ends...

Your second sentence is a bit word salad, but, I get it... A few words on an obscure forum are unlikely to cause the Chinese people to awaken to the hell they are (or will be) living in under the CCP.

Are you including Australians in "we Europeans" who lived under fascism?  You're the only one calling for blitzkreig , incessantly, knowing the Chinese aren't listening to you. Sad.

Don't know about all Australians... Those born in Europe or the children of those who lived through Stalinism and/or National Socialism know exactly what the CCP is...

So those ones don't need to hear your call to destroy. The Chinese won't. The rest of us aren't enlisting, mein herr.

Well, its enough that I know... Stalin was an extreme socialist (you'd know his face by the banners the CCP raise every now and then)

If you imagine that political extremes bend towards themselves in an arc, you'd get that Stalinism and National Socialism stand side by side... As Hitler and Stalin once did.
