Denise Lee, 40, appeared in Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to four harassment-related offences.
The court was told the radiologist and Matthew Holberton met on the dating app and had sex before he tried to dump her in 2015, sparking a hateful campaign of revenge because she wanted to “get even”.
Lee barraged Holberton with thousands of messages and said “did you f**k me thinking about someone else?”, “you will get your karma”, “I won't be letting you get away with what you did to me” and promised “whatever you value most, I will target”.
“When you treat people so heartlessly, expect the same in return,” she warned, the court heard on Wednesday.
“You had sex with me when you didn't have feelings for me, that's using me.”
Mr Barko, who began his sentence by quoting “heaven has no rage, like love to hatred turned; nor hell a fury, like a woman scorned”, said the case illustrated the “thin line between love and hate”.
“I'm satisfied she still has difficulty accepting what she's done and that the remorse that she has shown has been minimal,” he said.
For the offending against the new girlfriend, he jailed Lee for nine months.
She was given a good-behaviour bond and ordered to do 600 hours of community service for the abuse directed towards Mr Holberton and the girlfriend's mother.
Lee immediately lodged an appeal against her sentence and was granted bail.
She will return to court in April.
