So Tom Hanks has Type 2 Diabetes. Anyone else catch that? He has the kind of diabetes you have to work to give to yourself. You have to over eat and over eat all the wrong foods. Ignore the damages of drinking Coke and booze for years. You have to ignore your need for quality sleep by staying up late and eating right up to the time you finally go to sleep. You have to sit more and move less. Type 2 diabetes is the kind you give yourself. And if you really gave a schitt about your health, you can fix it and reverse it... if you gave a schitt. And this is the bulk of people at greatest risk of dying from coronavirus. Maybe fix yourself so next time we have an issue like this you’re capable of surviving through it.

And though Hanks did inadvertantly give himself type 2 diabetes, I can't help but admire his dedication to his role.

For the past 10 years, I have managed to get through cold and influenza quite okay. Most diabetics know that they have gotten diabetes because of the difficulties that they have had in their lives. Hard to lose weight. Finding that certain meals don't satisfy them the way they once did. So, it usually ends up that lifestyle changes take place when the subject is notified that he or she has diabetes. Even I gave up the grog and cut down on the sugary drinks for the sake of my health.

For a fat diabetic, I seem to have a strong immune system. I had a mild wog that I got over last week. The last strong influenza I got was in 2017. I was over that inside 3 days. I think covid19 will be an easy viral condition to get passed.

They seem to be playing it down.
Saying it’s very mild, he is working from home from one of their Scottish castles.
Would not want to frighten the British population if he’s really unwell, which we may never know.
I’m sure they have their own medical pampering.

In Australia, speaking of mild cases, 11 critical, 9 deaths with 2,431 cases of infections. Seems many have mild symptoms then?
