And your solution is? any practical solution at all? more of my dollars?
one solution is to stop the racism ... it's actually free and will go a long way
Stop the Boongs calling us 'Wharte cO^ts' and the Mussos calling us "Filthy Dog-eating Infidels' etc.. and it will all go away?
Wow .... that easy, huh??
it's a bit more involved than just some name calling graps. If two people apply for a job with the same experience and qualifications, and one is white and the other abo, 90% of the time the job will go tot he white person.
Fair point - but I don't see that when I buy fish at Coles and say Hi to the young Aboriginal guy who works there or I meet the Indigenous health guy who talks on heart issues and shake his hand and see how he's going (he's a top bloke).... and getting a good job is a struggle for most - and Aborigines are only 3% of the population (a figure sure to go up now that the 'court' has ruled insanity).
What are the chances an Abo will have the same experience and qualifications, given that many do not want to attend school and such? Not saying they can't gain qualifications - some do uni courses and stuff... even met one who is a dentist.... but far too many just don't want to make the effort.
I cannot resolve that for them.... mavbe it's despair - but how can I fix that?
I've been asked to stand for Council here - one of the things I'm going after is a proper and regular clean-up of the Aboriginal part of town - with the co-operation of the Elders... so that they can at least feel they are worth something... actually around here they are pretty much accepted.
Again - my nephew, with an Aboriginal father - looks more and more like an Abo every day... nobody in the family gives a rat's.. he's our nephew with the beautiful blonde blue-eyed wife and lovely kids and a decent job, and that's it...
There ARE jobs that specify you must be Indigenous to apply.... I'd suggest that kind of narrows the qualifications pool...
