#2, is that the coronavirus itself, has emerged from China itself.
....i.e. has emerged from China's societal CULTURE.

Most Chinese individuals, are uber CULTURALLY proud.

So the fact that the coronavirus has emerged from within China [new 'modern', 'highly technically advanced' China], is a huge 'LOSS OF FACE' to every proud Chinese person.

its 170 now...... it seems to me to be growing quite rapidly......seeing as how that what we are being told......not a lot of news coming out of China right now.....have they switched off wifi?

I think that the word which is more appropriate is, exponentially.

All lifeforms [and pathogens] will quickly grow and multiply, when they find themselves within a nourishing, 'friendly' culture/environment.

pathogen = = a bacterium, virus, or other micro-organism that can cause disease.

exponential = = (of an increase) becoming more and more rapid.

When is Scotty from Marketing going to follow the lead of most other countries and bring the Aussies home from Japan? Can someone find out if he is in Hawaii having dealt so successfully with the bushfires. Whoever thought it was a good idea keeping 3000 odd passengers in isolation on a cruise ship needs to be certified. There was no chance of the virus spreading at all under those conditions.
