That same message has been shown for nearly 7 YEARS !!!!

This was the first Windows help forums that I joined in 2001 shortly after I started using the Internet.

It ran very well for many years but in late 2012/early 2013 we noticed that the Admin seemed to be absent for longer and longer periods of time - he used to delete spammers very quickly up to that time but the spam posts were suddenly being left up for longer and longer.

Then, about March or April 2013 the forums "crashed" completely (after acting weird for a couple of days) then that maintenance message appeared and its been like that ever since... lucky we didn't sit around waiting for it to come back.

I've always wondered if someone's been paying money to have that message displayed for 7 years? Cheesy

thanks for that bobby yes i was asked to join ages ago but forgot about it....will take a look I missed chatting to everyone must admit....and the thought of posting at monks site sends shudders through me...lol..I did pop in to see if anyone had any news on what was happening....as I havent seen ozpol be off air that long before.....

but all I saw was a lot of abuse...I think its the nature of the place... get them before they get you.. syndrome...

I had to smile monk tells everyone no hold barred over there no censorship... then he tells red to stop using the phrase "bush lawyer."..... Grin

its a typical aussie phrase....use the C word next:

time red its much more acceptable...
