did you see that scrougy looking ugly bitch?

do you seriously think she's voted liberal in her life?

welfare bludging arsewipe should be investigated along with her mishrat husband and thrown off the dole..

Notice Dan Andrews has been nowhere near the frontlines ...

he tried to kill the CFA in Victoria ... so he stays back in the city making up his big media conferences...

Ever have a peek at Pauline Hanson ? By appearance you would conclude that she didn't vote at all ? Fact is that the majority of country people who look just like this poor woman look like this especially after all their clothes and facilities have been burnt and yes they mostly vote conservative.

The Bega electorate is currently Liberal held, there is a high probability that this woman has never not voted Liberal.

Really?

Why not point the fingers at CURRENT governments, cods?

Is it because the Liberals have been in power for over 8 long years in NSW and nearly 7 long years federally? The NSW government that cut tens of millions of dollars out of the fire services budgets last year? The Federal government with no climate change policy and hoarding money for a Budget surplus like human dragons? Both governments warned about fire danger nearly a year ago?

Come on ... admit it: the current NSW and Federal Liberal party governments must wear some blame.

I would bam  I think you know me better than that

No, you wouldn't. You have not done so as far as I can tell. If you have blamed the current Federal or NSW state governments, feel free to post a link to your previous comments where you have explicitly stated this.

No need to shout, cods.

What should they be doing?

Not cut nearly $100 million from the fire services Budget.
Start replacing RFS fire trucks, some of which go back to the 1980s that are so mechanically unsound that they stall on hills.
Provide more Federal funding for fire services instead of hoarding money for surpluses.
Heed warnings of the danger that started being issued last March.
Not leave the country in secret to go on holiday.
Not hold a private New Year's Eve party at Kirribilli House while the country burns.
Acknowledge the reality of climate change and have a climate change policy.

I could give you a much longer list, but like the PM you have two tin ears and you will ignore them. And then crap on again about "previous" governments as if the previous six years of inept Coalition rule never happened.

Vote out the NSW and Federal governments at the next elections and elect governments that actually have a clue about how to handle a crisis. I don't care who gets elected. Just vote the Liberal and National OUT. HARD.

In the meantime, reinstate the funding that was cut from the fire services Budget, with another $500 million on top. New strict national building codes in fire-prone areas. More regional road funding so every regional town has at least two exits.

Doing nothing is Scummo's idea of not panicking and remaining calm....He was so calm he thought it was okay to take a holiday while the Nation he supposedly leads burns too the ground....Do nothing stand for nothing and deny there is a problem....Scummo deserves the criticism he is getting!!!

Quote:
Mullins said he and 23 other fire and emergency chiefs had been trying to have a meeting with the prime minister, Scott Morrison, since April because they “knew that a bushfire crisis was coming”.

Instead, he said current fire chiefs had been locked out of discussions and were “not allowed” to mention climate change.

“This government fundamentally doesn’t like talking about climate change,” Mullins said. “We would like the doors to be open to the current chiefs, and allow them to utter the words ‘climate change’. They are not allowed to at the moment.

“The Grenfell fire in London, people talked about the cause from day one. Train crashes they talk from day one. And it is OK to say it is an arsonist’s fault, or pretend that the greenies are stopping hazard reduction burning, which is simply not true.

“But you are not allowed to talk about climate change. Well, we are, because we know what is happening.”

Bibby, who was in charge during Victoria’s Black Saturday, said politics was the reason the government was ignoring the former fire chiefs’ advice.

Other interstate fire chiefs were outspoken about the effect global heating has on bushfires.

Lee Johnson, the former commissioner of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services wanted immediate action.

“I’m here for my children and grandchildren,” he said. “In Queensland in the last couple of weeks we have seen unprecedented fires.”

Bob Conroy, former fire manager of NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, said: “The fires are impacting on areas that haven’t known fires for millennia.”

Mullins said the bushfire emergency was underlaid by a climate emergency.

“On the 6th of September, southeast Queensland and NSW experienced record fire weather, never before experienced in September. On the 8th of November, again we had record-breaking fire weather in NSW.

“And on the 12th of November, for the first time ever, Sydney experienced catastrophic fire danger. Fires are literally off the scale on this warming planet.”

The link between climate change and bushfire risk became a political flashpoint this week.

On Monday the Nationals leader and deputy prime minister, Michael McCormack, said it galled him when “inner-city lefties” raised climate change in relation to bushfires.

“We’ve had fires in Australia since time began, and what people need now is a little bit of sympathy, understanding and real assistance – they need help, they need shelter,” he told ABC Radio.

“They don’t need the ravings of some pure, enlightened and woke capital city greenies at this time, when they’re trying to save their homes, when in fact they’re going out in many cases saving other peoples’ homes and leaving their own homes at risk.”

Governments have ignored the warnings of fire chiefs on bushfires. There is no more time to waste

The NSW Nationals leader, John Barilaro, said it was “a disgrace” for anyone to talk about climate change during the bushfires.

But on Wednesday the Liberal MP and NSW environment minister, Matt Kean, said climate change “is a real issue” and “requires a decisive response”. He said science was clear that “our changing climate is seeing more extreme weather events”.

The former fire chiefs had two requests for the government: more resources for firefighters; take on “the fundamental problem” of climate change.

Mullins said he was told the energy minister, Angus Taylor, would speak to him and the water minister, David Littleproud, has set a meeting.

“None of us can understand why climate change in Australia is so political,” he said. “In the UK, the conservatives, Margaret Thatcher, said years ago this is a major problem.”

Didn't the fire chiefs try to convene a meeting with scumo about the prospects of a horror fire season and scumo was missing in action every time ?? They needed more equipment but scumos short arms couldn't reach the bottom of his long pockets Sad

This is exactly what people are pissed of with him about as well as having the cheek to turn up after the place has been burned to the ground Sad

And what's with the Private Pyle grin on its face all of the time ?? Seems that there are quite a few of these libbo politicians with a permanent smirk on their face Sad

answer my question give me the link of the accusations you have made...

and no that isnt true Angry   as far as I know ash Wed  was one of our greatest catastrophes  facing this country when it comes to bush fires...

tell me what have we learnt or done since then?????????????????

you claim nothing would change..... so tell us what did change... then we can debate...

justa reminder

Prior to the events on Ash Wednesday, a drought lasting ten months had dried out the eastern Australian forests. The context on 16 February was characterised by heatwave conditions, low humidity and strong to gale force winds. Temperatures varied between the high thirties to mid forties over most of eastern South Australia and Victoria, with relative humidity generally at less than 15 per cent.

In Victoria, 47 people died, 150,000 hectares were burnt, 1620 houses and more than 1500 other buildings were destroyed and 32,400 livestock were lost.

In South Australia, 28 people died, including three Country Fire Service volunteer firefighters. More than 1500 people were injured, 383 homes and 200 other buildings were destroyed and 160 000 hectares were burnt.

The Insurance Council of Australia estimated the 1983 damage for Victoria at $138 million and South Australia at $38 million; the 2011 estimated repeated cost was $1489 million for Victoria and $307 million for South Australia.

how far have we come????? Angry

What accusations? I haven't made any accusations? WTH? And what question? You are losing it again cods
