Since when did the Greens/left manage to control the bureaucracy?
I must have missed something shifting in Canberra.

Canberra has not got a lot to do with state controlled *vegetation, land and water management*.

We apply to the various state authorities for permits to: clear land,  burn off, build a dam, sink a bore, erect a building, etc., the draconian rules and regulations that we have to navigate each time we want to do some improvements or maintenance on our land, reek of dictatorial left-wing green thinking.

It's as simple as that, we are not allowed to control our own land and work practices, if we do not concede to the stupid rules and regulations we are prosecuted.

Right now because of these stupid green left rules and regulations, the country is alight, animals have been tortured and slaughtered by the tens of thousand, homes have been burnt to the ground, people have been murdered, millions of hectares of flora have been totally destroyed.

The green left alliance has a lot to answer for.

I was an early Greens voter from way back before and up until the Gordon below Franklin era.
The original Greens effort was due to 80% of Australia being deforested.
Since then, they have become a sub-ALP branch (like the Democrats are now a sub-NLP branch) and their approach has been somewhat dissapointing in how they have gone about their agendas.

Those from the climate change religion say we should listen to the scientists.

Fires not due to climate change: expert

Linking NSW's bushfires to climate change is 'nonsense', a leading expert says.

Linking the bushfire disaster in NSW to climate change is "an absolute nonsense" and reducing fuel loads in the Australian bush is urgently needed, a leading scientist says.

Retired Monash University researcher David Packham says global warming is a gradual process which doesn't explain major bushfires.

Greens deputy leader Adam Bandt has been accused of playing politics by linking the NSW bushfires to the new federal government's climate change policies.
But Mr Packham says there is no link.

"It's an absolute nonsense," he told AAP.

Mr Packham has previously accused "latte conservationists" of having too much influence on forest management.

He says fuel loads are now the heaviest they have been since human occupation of the continent and Aboriginal methods need to be adopted.
Flying over the Blue Mountains in recent years had been "frightening", he said.
"There's been this determination over the last 10 to 20 years to not treat our country in the same way the indigenous people treated it for 30,000 years," Mr Packham said.

Mr Packham called for an end to playing politics with bushfires and instead called for leadership based on scientific evidence.

Those from the climate change religion ignore the scientists who go against the narrative the climate change religion is trying to construct.

Mmm, there's no link? No link between what? Between the federal government's policy and bush fires.

He DOES NOT say that there's no link between climate change and bush fires.

Just for you -

"As former State Fire Chiefs call for a summit on bushfires, expert and scientist David Packham explains that it has nothing to do with climate change and everything to do with fuel-loads."

And highlighted just for you. Wink

He's talking about the Government's Climate Change Policy, not Climate Change in general.

"UPDATE 14/11/19:

Speaking earlier this week, Mr Packham confirmed his position on what is causing the current severe bushfire conditions. Addressing the matter on Sky News, he said fuel loads remain the core issue.

"The most important (factor) is the dryness of the fuel, which comes from the hot dry weather," he said.

"It's not behind the lot of it, it's behind all of it. The theory is as solid as the universal theory of gravitation." "+

From the earlier piece -

"Linking the bushfire disaster in NSW to climate change is "an absolute nonsense" and reducing fuel loads in the Australian bush is urgently needed, a leading scientist says.

Retired Monash University researcher David Packham says global warming is a gradual process which doesn't explain major bushfires."

Nearly 200 People Arrested Across Australia For Deliberately Starting Bushfires

A total of 183 people have been arrested by police in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania for lighting bushfires over the last few months, figures obtained by news agency AAP show.

In New South Wales, 24 people were arrested for arson, risking prison sentences of up to 25 years.

In Queensland, police concluded that 103 of the fires had been deliberately lit, with 98 people, 67 of them juveniles, having been identified as the culprits.

Around 85 per cent of bushfires are caused by humans either deliberately or accidentally starting them, according to Dr Paul Read, co-director of the National Centre for Research in Bushfire and Arson.

More than 180 alleged arsonists have been arrested since the start of the bushfire season, with 29 blazes deliberately lit in the Shoalhaven region of southeast NSW in just three months.

The Shoalhaven fires were lit between July and September last year, with Kempsey recording 27 deliberately lit fires, NSW Bureau of Crime and Statistics and Research data shows.

Police arrested 183 people for lighting bushfires across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania in the past few months. NSW police data shows 183 people have been charged or cautioned for bushfire-related offences since November 8, and 24 arrested for deliberately starting bushfires.

Queensland police say 101 people have been picked up for setting fires in the bush, 32 adults and 69 juveniles.

In Tasmania, where fires have sprung up in the north of the state and outside Hobart, five were caught setting fire to vegetation. Victoria reported 43 charged for 2019.
