BoM has squandered its former place as a respected institution with its manipulation of records and data and there will be floods before BoM regains a fraction of the trust it's lost

nevertheless, good news re the weather is welcomed, even though blind Bill could have told us the weather will eventually improve

now let's see councils behave responsibly by conducting burn-offs regularly

and let the punishment for individuals and companies begin concerning the arson for which they are responsible, which in turn is responsible for 90% or more of the bushfires

Yes, as predicted, it's quite a bit cooler and a smattering of rain (mere perspiration at .4mm) is predicted for tomorrow

So much of this was avoidable, as we know, but that will be of negligible comfort to those who've lost everything

The native and domestic animals are always foremost in my mind and it's enough to send a person half mad

if I were the PM, I'd be declaring that a life sentence will be imposed on proven arsonists and that includes management of companies which are directly or indirectly responsible for starting fires.  For repeat offenders, it should be execution, no appeals

if a survey were to be taken of those directly affected by the fires, I'm sure they would say the same thing, to say nothing of those whose loved ones died in the fires

and a big FU to the corrupt UN if it dared to poke its nose in

I wish I had the answer to these firebugs... some of them are mature men... its incredible   maybe they can be tasked with working on rebuilding for free... every spare minute of their time until its done.. I dunno....some are repeat offenders...grrrrrrrrrrrrr

its a sunburnt country remember?....fire is normal...

we have to do better its that simple  more people are living here  mainly on the coast  more building in the bush settings..  yet we still send one man out there with one hose.to deal with it all..

we have been told for a long time about drought but they have concentrated on the farming areas   forgetting it affects everywhere....our bush is meant to BURN   its what keeps it going....

I wasnt in particular picking on your post unsub....just giving another explanation......to me so much is commonsense  yet somehow that never seems to be taken into consideration...
