to me to see all those people ENJOYING themselves at others expense.....I dont think its right imagine you and your kids sitting in a hall somewhere surrounded by people who have only the clothes they stand up in...not knowing if your home is still standing all you can smell and taste is burning wood......your kids have lost all their stuff yep even new stuff.....and then someone switches the TV channel and you are all watching people dancing and singing and not a care in the world waiting for 15 min of fireworks....to make their night.special...

do you think you will be tapping your toes along with them... wishing you were there?..while your daughter cries and tries to understand why us why me...

Speaking for myself, I'm not here to make my day miserable over the fate of others. The two things are not related. Are you or those affected by fire going to skip birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas because of the fires? Of course not, life goes on. Why should NYE be singled out as the one celebration that is verboden?

I really couldn't give a damn about the fireworks one way or the other Wink

I can't stand Clover Moore though and I think she should at least acknowledge the fires and maybe even ask for donations.

They estimate over 500 MILLION animals (mammals, birds, reptiles) have been burned alive in the matter of just a few weeks and that's just tragic.
