he'd compared the Oz fires with those in the US west.  Strange similarities in non-natural aspects

and even before he knew that even the crooked Oz media was admitting our fires were primarily caused by arsonists and mismanagement, he was joining the dots

and at a guess, there will be something engineered to take people's minds off the dots once the fires have been completed
