The house makes the decision on impeachment it makes no difference where Pelosi sends it. Maybe she sent it to California for christmas. It is just not relevant. At the point where the House ruled on impeachment Trump is impeached. The next step belongs to the senate where they are bound to hold a trial.

In a situation where the Senate Majority leader has already announced the intention to hold a sham trial it is hardly unreasonable for the House majority leader to try to push for a real trial and for the process to be taken seriously.

Yes he did admit to routinely sexually assaulting women and he did pay bribes to make nasty but true sexual accusations go away, we know this because his co conspirator is in prison for doing it. He was also accused of having forced sex with a 13 year old corroborated by a witness. You had Thompson convicted and hung before he was even investigated on less than 10% of this.

The Senate is not bound to do anything until they receive the Articles from the House Leadership....The House must officially deliver the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, then the Senate Leaders must review them. Then & only then will they/can they decide to hold a trial or not.....Whether they reject the Articles as insufficient to warrant a trial, or decide that a trial is in order & deliberate on the rules from that point.......All this can only be determined after the House has delivered the Articles to the Senate....not a moment before.

Bottom line DuckBoy, if the Articles aren't delivered, no trial is possible......period. Only after the Senate receives the Articles from the House leadership, the US Senate headed by the Senate Republican Majority, is then Constitutionally in complete control of the outcome thereafter......period.

The only voice the US House has in the Senate trial is as the Prosecutors of the Articles (the charges) against the President, governed by the rules the Republican Majority Senate Leadership imparts to them.
