ABC bossypants Paul Barry issues a climate command to the nation’s journalists:

Paul Barry

@TheRealPBarry
Message to Media: Enough Bullshit. Read the evidence, believe the science, stop mucking about. This is what our BOM says of bushfires. 1. They're increasingly common 2. The fire season is getting longer. 3. Climate change is contributing.

Message to Paul:

if you’re serious about taking action on climate change, you might want to stop streaming Media Watch online:

Climate scientists are railing against streaming TV and movie services, which they’re calling “a waste of resources at all levels.”

Researchers estimate that watching a half-hour show via an on-demand video app emits 1.6 kilograms of carbon dioxide into the environment — the equivalent of driving almost 4 miles ...

Meanwhile, at least one member of the Australian government is done with green appeasement:

Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack has lashed the “disgraceful, disgusting” behaviour of “raving inner city lunatics” for linking climate change to the ferocious bushfires burning across Queensland and NSW.

@7NewsSydney
There is a total ban today and tomorrow for the whole of New South Wales. Tuesday is the big concern, Sydney will face a catastrophic fire danger for the first time. The Blue Mountains, Central Coast & Hunter regions are also facing catastrophic fire danger tomorrow. #7NEWS

“What people need now is a little bit of sympathy, understanding and real assistance, they need help, they need shelter,” Michael McCormack told ABC Radio on Monday.

“They don’t need the ravings of some pure, enlightened and woke capital city greenies at this time when they’re trying to save their homes.”

Johannes Leak’s view:

too many of these fires are deliberately lit.....if we come down hard on those who do this maybe that will go someway  to prevention of this happening  earlier and earlier...  who knows!

as for Paul Barry    who in the right mind would take the slightest notice of him?... I cant believe he is a climate scientists.. Grin Grin Grin
