The inquisitions are a very good example of the evil deeds of iniquity which Christ warned His followers about:

Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Men will worship Christ futilely as they implement their own man made commandments as the doctrine of Christianity.
Quote:Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Pretty straight forward, people will do the wrong thing while saying they did all manner of good works, however Christ doesn't recognize such people they are not Christians.
So the lesson here is that Christians have to get as close as possible to the true doctrine as taught by Christ, in order to do the right thing.
In the case of the many and varied evils of Sharia etc. in islam, the facts are that to be good decent people, muslims must distance themselves from the deeds and teachings of muhammad.
