like a one off investment in solar panels and batteries for a life time of free charge ups is not a good deal compared to what you lot have to offer on your clunkers

Please define "life time" in terms of years.Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Oh and don't forget any inverters you may want to use for household power.

get serious will you. 6.6kW PV system for $2150 !!

Now your turn to tell us what discounts you have to offer fossil fool car owners for the life time of the car including service and spare parts Cheesy LOL

Grin Grin Grin A $2150 system that's going to be a one off investment?

Cheap shyte that probably won't last 10 years.

Oh & getting paid 8 cents a KW that goes back into the grid when they charge 19 to 26 cents a KW .... takes a lot of gloss off that investment.

Not if you use it directly to charge up your EV then you get the full benefit of 26 cents a kw-hr. See what your fossil fool clunker has got to offer you in terms of fuel rebates ?? For $2150 spent at the fool bowser it just goes straight out of the tail pipe and wasted on heating up brake rotors and wearing down brake pads Sad

So electric cars have no brake rotors & pads?  Roll Eyes

The fossil fuel propels you down the road the same as the battery .....

the electric energy disappears just the same.

They do but 90% of the time the regen is used to slow the car down and recover the energy that would be wasted as heat !!! I have driven a Tesla and that is indeed what happens so the brakes last much much longer than a fossil fool car !

So the electric motors are actually Traction Motors that have what's called Dynamic Braking like on locomotives?

In a nutshell yes but unlike a deisel locomotive it doesn't dump the energy into heating up a bank of resistors !

Gosh I have really got the loony crazy Greeny scunge going as I activated her inferiority complex and made her spill her legendary ignorance out all over the ground.

She spews ignorance like electric toy cars spew pollution. The she is a Tesla Fan Girl.

Gnads you shouldn't stir this scunge imbecile like that - it is cruel but funny.

Those with battery storage can charge them at night using solar

Why would they need to. You said most people work from home. So they should be able to charge through the day. And initially it was only the solar panel expense, no batteries Wink

But now solar and batteries for a ONE OFF LIFE TIME expense.

In a nutshell yes but unlike a deisel locomotive it doesn't dump the energy into heating up a bank of resistors !

The heat energy that comes from changing the motor from traction to a generator has to be dissipated .... it goes through a fan cooling grid.

Some electric suburban trains return power to the grid through the rails when in dynamic brake ...

some electric locomotives return it to the overhead wires ... some don't ... they also dissipate the power as heat through a grid.

Oh & using battery storage on your solar isn't in the affordable range when you speak of a $2,150 investment.

as opposed to continuously taking it up the arse at the fossil fool bowser for the life of the vehicle and never ever getting a single cent back !!

Don't forget your shopper dockets and avoid the weekly price gouging ripoff which the ACCC still can't explain Cheesy LOL

The one off life time expense petal. Wink

Just looked at the Powerwall 2 specs. Warranty 10 years, so they are covered that long. It seems far short of a one off lifetime cost if it is using your life time as the base period.

If it is the EV lifetime it seems you need to purchase one every new EV.

Forget your stupid inane circular questions that you keep repeating.

Tell us what you have to offer in terms of running costs and tell us why you think it is so much better than an electric vehicle ?

This should be interesting Wink

They are not circular. They don't rely on circular reasoning.  What you probably mean is that you don't want to show yourself as a circle jerk. Wink

All you have to do is tell us it is the EV life time not yours. Wink

Electric cars are a hazard to society as they spew huge amounts of poisonous pollution from the coal power stations when they recharge.

And the whompy wheels fall off of Tesla toy cars when the poorly designed weak suspension breaks followed usually by a big crash.

...
Holy S***!!! The whompy wheel has come off this pile of junk and we are gunna crraasshhh!!

I ask you again, what have you got to offer that betters an EV in terms of running costs and reliability ?
