Electric Car emissions

The above studies indicate that the terminology “zero emission” is a misnomer when referring to electric vehicles. Also, lawmakers should be cautious about subsidizing electric vehicles when their electricity is generated mainly by fossil fuels because they are not lowering the carbon dioxide emissions from automobiles by doing so. The old saying that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” may well apply to many of the gimmicks and work-arounds advocated by whatever group is popular with a political and media elite at any given time. Germany’s lessons should be a case study for political leaders everywhere.

You wont hear about this on main stream news.

Don't be surprised if the IFO think tank get shut down or funding is withdrawn, especially if they keep making unpleasant noise.

The MSM [mainstream media] has been in its    POST-TRUTH    death-spiral for several decades now.

If any truth does not serve them, does not serve their PC interests, then it is not examined, and is certainly not broadcast or published,
unless there is no other option, than to acknowledge it [a particular truth].

And they [the MSM] wonder why so many people today, regard so much of the MSM with such disdain !

disdain = = the feeling that someone or something is unworthy of one’s consideration or respect.

Without fossil fuels & rare earths you electric cars & wind turbines don't get made..........

therefore saying any of it is "green" like "zero emissions" is a misnomer ........

as for being fed propaganda and taking it up the arze .........

you're already laying in bed & having your first cigarette waiting for your renewable lover to rise & make the next installment.

Oh yeah ... your solar panels, inverters & batteries are made from fossil fuels as well. Roll Eyes

show me one electric car owner who takes it up the arse at the fossil fool bowser ?

show me one fossil fool car owner that can recover energy during braking instead of throwing it away as wasted heat and wear and tear on the brakes ?

show me one fossil fool car owner that can refuel their cars for free at home ?

Electric car owners take it up the ass financially in other ways.

Australia’s cheapest and most expensive cars to own

An annual report conducted by the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ) has analysed 141 different vehicles and detailed the cheapest and most expensive new cars to own and run.

The research takes into account all the standard expenses associated with purchasing and owning a new car. This includes loan interest, fuel, tyres, registration, servicing, insurance and depreciation.

The most expensive vehicles to operate were electric vehicles. The Tesla Model X and Model S luxury vehicles both cost close to $500 a week. This is in part to brutal depreciation costs of close to $300 a week and high purchase prices of about $150,000.

Sure. I think our fossil fuel reserves, which are finite, should be kept for things we need like building renewables. Carelessly using every fossil fuel we have in the here and now impoverishes the future and denies them resources.

If you use a recharge facility anywhere on your trips ... you will be recharging with electricity made by fossil fuels.

Recovering energy with equipment made from or with fossil fuels in the process.

Your power at home unless you've forked out a packet to go off the grid is generated by fossil fuels.

Nothing is for free.

btw ... you been tripping around & come home & the car is in need of a good charge ... you put it on the charger then realise you need to go out again ..........several times maybe

have you got enough charge not to get caught short?

Set our fossil fuel reserves mainly both coal & gas are being exported ... not used here.

They are shutting down & not rebuilding coal fired power stations ..... & with todays more efficient technology I think that's a retrograde step.

I think we should limit the number of mines/export allowed and use more of our own.
