While it is inevitable, I cannot condone or support such actions and attitudes.
Governments need to take some leadership here instead of wallowing deeply in pity and self-pity, and actually do something constructive.
A genuine and free to speak forum of all relevant views would be a start - you cannot solve a problem by hiding it behind a burqa of silence, and it must be discussed openly and without vilifying those who happen to hold a different view from the one 'city hall' wishes to promote.
Time, as with several other areas of conflict, for a full and open discussion of all the issues from all of the interest groups - not just more of the PC selected special interest groups, who get all the say, and are treated as victims when most of their reps have never suffered one thing in their lives.
I mean - we had a contributor here say that a Muslim girl being wolf-whistled was oppression (couldn't offer any real oppression)...

.... maybe she just needed a little cement in her diet....
