The grand idiocy of the NSW Liberal Government to tear down a perfectly good Sports Stadium to replace it with a billion dollar "World Standard" sports stadium is insanity at its highest level

With the NSW State Election 2 weeks away attention has centred on the Stadium 'madness'

With Hospitals and Schools crying for more funds this along with the Light Rail craziness in Sydney Central highlights just how much Premier Gladys Berejiklian has lost the plot

Only 37% of the Public support the stadium. When questioned by the media Berejiklian kept changing the subject and wouldn't talk about it

I wonder whether she will talk about it when it costs her Government in 2 weeks time

Nothing wrong with the stadium it was the fact that there is not the crowd numbers they want, the idea is build a bigger stadium and the crowds will follow.

In other cities like Melbourne and its stadiums AFL attracts bigger crowds, the problem for Sydney is that NRL is the game and with all the sex scandal in the game people are becoming disinterested.

And from what's been said its players mostly from educated  private all boy schools that are creating the scandal, proving the Private Education system that the LNP are keen on facilitating is not creating better adults.

Also to be considered with the Glaggy Binchicken government is the increasing land clearing  and a coal seam gas pipleline being fast tracked to Narrabri that's intended for the 200 or more wells in the Pilliga forest...wells that will ultimately destroy the artesian waters under the forest.

The LNP all facilitating mining and coal are environmental vandals.

As pissed off as I am about the stadium, Labor is not ready for Govt. in NSW. Sure the stadium needed replacing but it was pretty far down the list of priorities.

The boyfriend is already out of prison or close to, after deduction for time already served and the woman will be out in three years or something.  And such ludicrously lenient sentencing are becoming the norm, the excuse being that prisons are overcrowded to the point they have to release dangerous subhumans out early 'because there's no room for the new ones'

Decent sentences please, or have the guts to put them down like the worthless trash they are.  And until that's done, people like me will delight in tossing LNP out the back door

And just to show that I'm not a rusted on hack, the best result for NSW would be minority Lib Govt because the stadium should have been taken to an election.

At the polling booth today, chatted with the Liberal guy - he's on the local council - the ex braced him about the roads, and he was effusive about the cash coming - when I said that the $2.2Bn would have gone a long way - he said that was chicken feed.

The ex - as usual - had left forcing me to follow to unlock the car, so I didn't get to engage him about 'chicken feed' being the consequence of sometimes idealistic politicians suddenly throwing around billions - and then - say at council level - feeling that a $250 fee was nothing to a struggling pensioner or retiree...chicken feed...

The issue is, of course - how they rapidly lose perspective when tossing around billions.... look at the state of this nation these days....
