That sounds remarkably like the new state school model, especially the self-centredness and conceit, sense of entitlement.

Yes - it's  a product of the gene pool and the lowering of standards to suit Third Worlders... can't have Ahab the Arab left out since he has cultural differences and don' unnerstan' English....

The issue is. if every child went to a State School the system coud not cope, Every student has a right for schooling, if the parents decide they want more then the Public schooling then they should pay for it,

But  that amount, that has been allocated to Public Schools, should be and is, is passed onto the Private School. The excess is on the Parent"s Dime.

Which it is.

that's a load of bollocks. Firstly, many parents would still send their kids to private schools. Regardless of the costs. You will never have all public schooling.

Secondly, if you close down for example, 10 private schools, there is absolutely no need to build ten new public schools. Many of these students can be absorbed directly into the existing system. The money we save on private schools can pay for the balance.

Poor petal. Can't even grasp the truth.

Put more people into existing schools; you either get larger classroom sizes or you have to build new classrooms in existing schools. Wink

Also the money the govt gives the private schools would be freed up to pay for more public schools

Most private schools get a lot less per student than the cost to send them to public so if there was a big move from private to public,  funding in real terms would go down.

Rubbish.

People who can afford it send their kids to Private School because the education is better and it gives them a better start in life. Kids who go to Private School (not including Catholic School) learn to at least spell.

State Schools are just that. The teachers are lefties and most can't spell. It is NOT FREE to send your kid to the local school.

Some people decide to Home Educate .... not sure whether they, too, get taxpayer money.
