I was right all along - McGowan is a big lefty

Back in 2013 everyone was carrying on as though Cathy McGowan was a true blue conservative independent, running against the evil and terrible Sophie Mirabella. I forewarned that she was nothing but a lefty from the bush, in the same mound of Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor. Now I have been proven emphatically correct. The people of Wodonga, Wangaratta and surrounding towns were stupid enough to fall for it.

The ugly old bitch is retiring at the next election and good riddance to the bitch.

generally , in country areas, you have the "salt of the earth' farmers and trades people and doctors and pharmacists and they are pretty chill and pretty competant and they dont need the applause of the crowd because they know they are the "shiiit".

then you have the people who just dont feel good in their bodies, dont feel right in their minds.
they are emotionally all over the place, like to create drama, like to be the centre of attention , like to think they know more then the cool people.

these are the people drawn to political office.

if you asked the people of a rural community who they would like to lead them, you will probably get a guy who has no interest in getting involved in a 'way of life" which is going to drag him down off the "narrow road to success".

he will have strong personal boundaries about what is allowed into his personal ecosystem and he recognises that politics is "lower consciousness" and not "fruitful"

Pretty well too. Most of the may be right leaning socially but most definitely on the left side of the economic map. Agrarian socialists indeed.
