river systems, underground and desalination plants ( 1 in Saudi Arabia producing 320 times more per day than was released at the Ross river dam inTownsville the other day u mentioned in another post)

cheaper to have a ROYAL Roll Eyes

that fixes everything..lol

btw you forget we animals need water not just veggies..

but dont let that worry you.. think about the cost...and the magnitude its all too much today............

all I can say is thank god for the pioneers we had all those years ago when all they had was a compass and a pickaxe.......amazing people who could see into the future. and knew instinctively what had to be done....

What did the pioneers of this country do to make this a sustainable place.. what foresight did they have to make sure things like the Murry , erosion, ferral animals, soil degration, land poisoning happen..... Yes they where pioneers but I don't think they did more than survive (little on think of the future) and fought nature every step of the way to make a mark. Wink

A bloke by the name of John Bradfield came up with a solution in 1938. No one took him seriously. Consecutive governments since have ignored it. We need to revive the scheme and update it. Bugger the cost. Tunnel through the dividing range, and bury the pipes the rest of the way to minimise loss die to evaporation.

Why can we pipe gas around the country, but not water?
