I don't think anyone thought Mexico would pay for the Wall, Bobby. Most of us knew it would never even be built.

The strange thing is Mr Trump hasn't forgotten about it himself. He certainly forgot about the ban on Muslims until we can work out what the hell is going on. Instead, he's excusing them for assassinating his own residents.

I blame Islam.

You?

He forgot all about that caravan, too.

Right after the election, funnily enough.

Shurely not. Mr Trump sent the army down for that one.

He marched them up to the top of the hill, and he marched them down again.

For Trump fans, who are generally against big government, this is great news.

But their ignorance of what the Government does will soon be corrected when vital services they need disappear like what is starting to happen now.

Ignorance has always been the best friend of the anti-big Government crowd.

Sadly it's only personal suffering that change the minds of the average Fox News viewer or Trump supporter, but as always, it's too late by then.

It's looking like, from the point of view of the National Parks etc, it's going to take millions of additional dollars to undo the damage that's been done.  There is no way they're going to get any additional funding for that.

What happens when more vital services start going down this path?

Even if the individual pay of the workers is back paid, where do these additional millions come from?

in general,  most of the 60 million people who voted for the Donald, did so on the basis that they thought he was better at handling money then Washington .

so if the Donald closes down washington, they probably see that as a efficient businessman stopping waste.

now sad may beg to differ but thats the perception on the ground, i am sure.

the donald is going with his intuition and , sad for the lefties, his intuition is right more often then it is wrong.

you need to stop trying to convince people with facts, Sad Skippy.
people vote their temperament and their emotional state.

you will NEVER convince a trump supporter to switch sides with logic or facts.
thats not how people work.

do you think i could stand in a jewelry store and convince a young lady who just got engaged that a diamond ring is just made of carbon and it is totally illogical for her to want it?
not a chance.
she is emotionally invested.

and 60 million people are emotionally invested in the Donald and you need to appeal to their emotions .
(and stop being trumps plaything by doing his work for him).

i give you lefties such good advice and you never take it.
makes me think you are more stupid then trump !!!.

now gweggy can post that trump is an alledged child rapist.
that will work.
all those people with 2 years of emotional investment in the Donald will read that and immediately switch sides.
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

the lack of understanding of even the basics of emotional intelligence are appalling

The majority of Americans see a billionaire president screwing over workers, Aquascoot. That's not a perception, it's been polled. 20 to 30% of voters are in favour of the shut down - the usual Trump loyalists. The rest of Americans are overwhelmingly against it, and many of the Trump loyalists are coming round.

Forgive me for saying this, but how do you get it wrong so consistently?

both,

steve and janeen need to have one foot in chaos and one foot in order.
mr trump keeps everyone guessing
he is a paradox
he is playing at a higher paradigm
he plays "push/pull' with everyone with whom he interacts.
this is how you persuade.
he pulls the rug out from under people
this is how you keep them alert and prevent the durr state
he is one of the most persuasive people ever studied.

now think of america as a "client" who need a "lawyer".
do you want some beige shchmuck in a suit who is a goody two shoes (obama)
or do you want some rabid maniac who represents the mob and has a really shady past but who seems to crush it at "persuading" the jury (trump).

america is served better by having the latter.
a guy with killer instincts and rat cunning.

be honest karnal, you thought he would last 2 months as president and yet HERE WE ARE.
hows that impeachment looking  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Now, now - tell the truth.

He actually hires someone to steal the rug, and then doesn't pay them.

If questioned, he denies all knowledge of floor coverings.

Mr Trump keeps everybody guessing because he doesn't know himself, dear. How can he be giving Fat Steve and Janeen what they want, and at the same time making an unpopular decision they don't like?

Mr Trump is giving Hannity and Judge Jeanine what they want. They don't really care about the Wall, of course, they just tell him he'll lose his credibility with Fat Steve and Janeen if he doesn't pretend to try.

His speech? Mr Trump admitted he was talked into it. He never wanted to sit there reading an autocue, and he was right to think it would convince no one. The shutdown? Mr Trump's just holding off opening up the government again. He knows Congress won't budge. He's just praying for a miracle to allow him to save face.

You know, a war would be good, or a decent terrorist attack. Maybe even a race riot. Mr Trump can then pay the cops to go in and kick some black butt. Then, everyone can forget about the shutdown, like they forgot about Pussygate or Charlottesville or Moscow.

Or the ballooning deficit, or replacing Obamacare, or the ten percent tax cut by as early as next week - all those things Mr Trump promises then forgets. Where are those 15,000 troops amassed at the southern border now? No one knows.

And before you say only the beltway care about this stuff, Americans have health care. They pay taxes. They're in the army that was mobilised at the southern border to help lay down some razor wire and go back home after an erection.

Fat Steve and Janeen don't think that's masterful, they think it's ridiculous. They see someone cheating them and not even seeming to care whether they catch on or not.

Remember Tony Abbott? All he had to do was get caught out lying on all his pre-erection budget commitments, and flop, that was it. All it took was a federal budget. Mr Abbott went from being a "conviction politician" to being one of those lying politicians no one can trust.

Mr Trump is now responsible for the longest government shut down in US history. He's responsible for freezing the wages of 800,000 workers over Christmas. He's doing this for his own vanity project - something 60% of voters are dead against, and 10% don't even care about. And he's telling people he "understands" what those workers and their families are going through and pretending it's all for a good cause.

People don't want leaders who play "masterful" games with their wages. They want leaders they can trust. So I'm curious. How can anyone trust Mr Trump's word now?

I suppose they reget that now.  Obama was lowing the deficit, Trump has been increasing but while cutting spending that helps Americans.  Where is all the oney going!?  And now he wants the tax payers to pay for his wall.

Yes, he's handling money better than Washington....

Quote:

Well let's see what happens after his partial shutdown.  I think you'll be sorely disappointed, again.

Quote:

All I'll say is actually a question.  Who will pay for the cost of the Government Shutdown?  Will Trump fund that personally?  If not, it falls to the American people, again.  Yes, he's muuuuch better with Money.

Quote:

Fake News

You can't be serious.

Quote:
you will NEVER convince a trump supporter to switch sides with logic or facts.  thats not how people work.

That's exactly how people work,  It's not how uneducated morons work when they're being conned, so I guess you're right about Trump supporters.

Quote:

she is emotionally invested.

That is not the same as running a country.  I know Trump sees success as how much bling he has, much like a shallow vacuous woman would see the worth of her man by the side of the diamond on her finger, but there is more to like than show.

Quote:
and 60 million people are emotionally invested in the Donald and you need to appeal to their emotions.

So Bill Maher was right.  The US needs a recession to see the truth.  A survivable event.  We can show them Trump's lies, his failures, but until they personally feel the pain, their minds won't change.

Lucky for them Trump is doing everything he can to bankrupt the country like he has many times before.

How about someone capable of doing the job and not an unhinged lunatic with a skin so thin it's translucent who is easily manipulated by other world leaders and doesn't make the country look like a laughing stock implementing the type of policies and making the type of decisions that resulted in the bankruptcy of many of his former business and maybe, just maybe someone who would listen to the experts over his gut and doesn't think he's an expert at everything and always the smartest person in the room?

So, yeah, Obama, or my dog over someone like that.

Someone like Trump.

You may see it as a popularity contest where honesty doesn't matter and appealing to emotions is all that does, and this is partly true for the elections.

But what then?  The winner has to actually lead, has to govern, has to honour their campaign pledges and work towards making their vision for the country a reality.

Trump only looked forward to see what's best for himself and his stunning lack of policy and competence is only more proof of that.

He's great at taking credit for others work, rebranding things and then claiming even though they're much the same, they're now somehow better, and going back on his word, lying about the things he said he would do and lying more about the things he will do.

These are some of the worst quality of a Scout Troop leader, let alone the President.

And I'm calling it now, because I saw what you said about Obama, what you said about Clinton, the moment the Dems are back in power, you'll start caring about the truth again.  You'll start attacking people for their lies.

You're only defending Trump because you see in him a way back to the "good old days" where the coloureds and the womens knew their place.

Well, he lied to you about that too.  He'll take advantage of anyone for his own personal gain, not just the groups you don't like.

The Shutdown is yet another example of that.
