As for the "Doxxing" issue I'm with the person who said it's the individual's fault.

It's common sense not to post personal crap to a crowd of people that clearly cannot be trusted. The less you give, the less they can work with.

This is another typical "victim" mentality of today lacking personal responsibility. It's like somebody jumping into a river full of ravenous saltwater crocs and blaming the government when they get eaten alive.

Are people so starved for human connection that they would place their trust in a bunch of people who engage in schoolyard bullying on a forum based on what side of the political spectrum one lies?

That is very true and I give the same credit.

I'll bet a mountain on a mole hill that neither Smith nor Mothra had a PM explaining their (what was obvious..given the dates of their return and willingness to post for whatever reason here) 12 month ban despite the acceptable protocol. It was either FD or Vic. Simple as that...and neither of them has had the decency to explain why.

Since returning here I have recognized that one, a lot of people have left and two, those that remain such as yourself are long term OzPol vets that make threads flinging insults at one another or talking about who's sock is who. I see a very active focus on this, as well as the other forum "Political Animal", to the point it almost drowns out any appeal in "political discussion".

Especially when threads are made direction to said political discussion then becomes hijacked as a war between OzPol "cliques".

I didn't come here specifically to have a dig at you. I have been keeping an eye on this thread because it's entertaining, and then my previous username was mentioned which you likened to a "retard". My point is, it is rich coming from you due to what I've stated above. You can twist it however you like, you can get technical which I've noticed is one of your forms of debate, it doesn't matter. Facts are facts. Look at your own post history. See what threads you have participated in.

Who is a known doxxer? Do you have proof of them being doxers? Isn't that up to the moderation team to decide who gets purged from the forum? From what you're telling me it's the moderators themselves who got doxxed.

My reference to plastering info about yourself on a page was about Facebook. If you invite people to view that Facebook page, then they will find information about you. You get off on the wrong foot with them, they will use anything they can against you. That was my point.. not whatever you thought.

Lastly, lunatics are lunatics. Grubs are grubs, and morons are morons. They come in many shapes and forms. They can appear to be "normal", trustworthy and "friendworthy", especially on the internet.
If you want to spread your personal info around you risk attracting the attention of any one of those people mentioned if you get caught up with them.
I prefer my identity and privacy protected, thanks. No online "friends" are worth putting up with the bs.

I never said it was okay to share somebody else's identity. All I'm saying is that the victim should use a bit of logic and discernment before sharing sensitive bits and pieces about themselves. The internet is a breeding ground for "sick and demented buggerwits" and this forum has at least a couple of those.
