It's common sense not to post personal crap to a crowd of people that clearly cannot be trusted. The less you give, the less they can work with.

Well the evidence is on this forum. The amount of posts made in this forum and how a good chunk of them relate to who's sock is who or personal insults. You don't need to get technical, "24/7" is is an exaggeration for dramatic effect. But the point is, a lot of time and effort is put into "socks" and personal insults back and forth.

Not that I am complaining, it's very entertaining. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Regarding freedriver, and mods etc. No, I am not interested in PMing with anybody and getting personal with people. I don't know what happened between everybody you mention there and honestly don't care that much but my opinion about not giving out personal information remains the same. The risk is there and self preservation is important, especially in this day and age. If this warrants a ban, so be it.

I understand it is the modern norm now to plaster personal crap on a webpage dedicated to yourself. It's your decision to invite people you don't really know into that sphere of your personal life, knowing full well what is likely to happen when you run into conflict with them. People are spiteful, and it's much easier to post a compromising image or personal details on a public digital sphere than it is to front up to somebody and punch them in the face. Most people are too trusting, and this is why things like that happen in the first place.

If politics should teach us anything...

The risk ONLY arises if there is slack Moderation. The only two active GMods are here rarely, and if they are, it is at times well known. Setanta...you can set your clock by. Vic.....not even he knows when he will be here. Same with freediver. So.....there is no current on-hand capacity to quickly snuff out doxxing...... immediately.

Any doxxer....(and their socks) MUST be sent to Purgatory....forever. That is the only way.

People should be free to relate some of their life experiences on here to the topics being discussed without fear of some psychotic cretin with a grudge searching for and then revealing that persons true identity to the rest of the forum.
