Federal Election a Liberal bloodbath
Dec 11th, 2018 at 7:46am

I believe the mood of the people is not dis similar to the people of France

People have had a gutful of greedy corporations being shielded by a Government that is in bed with the Corporate thieves

People have had enough of being trampled under foot whilst e.g. executives reward themselves with multi million dollar bonuses, whilst all along ripping the guts out of superanuees in the form of exorbitant fees

Come 2019 the Liberal Government will walk the plank for not only their total neglect of duty but conspiring with the enemy

I predict this will be the worst result for the Coalition in our history. It will be a  political bloodbath

Yes I heard Mr Shorten will restore and protect the penalty rates, within the first 100 days of a labor government.   Smiley

People are starting to ask (quite rightly) why should we improve productivity and hand out tax cuts if businesses only keep the money for themselves and it goes to the 1%.

We had the french revolution - do we need to cut off our leaders heads again?

cods are you that blind to the revelations of the Banking Royal Commission, the one Labor finally got through

The one that Malcolm Turnbull knocked back 23 times to protect his corporate mates?

Here's just a small list of people who have been ripping you off with Government assent

Banks - charging people exorbitant fees for non existent services

Insurance Companies selling policies to people which are useless and have enough fine print in get out clauses it makes them worthless

Superannuation Companies e.g. AMP charging so much in fees that Super clients were actually losing money

Pay Day lenders whose interest rates turned small loans into gargantuan debts

How is that for a starter?

ASIC was properly funded to the tune of an extra 250million and twice the staff under Labor,  of course libtards had to reverse their cuts when it all went pear shaped under their watch

cods...You know I have basically been Liberal over the years

But this shambles of a Government takes the cake

It was Malcolm Turnbull who blocked the Banking Royal Commission 23 times

The same Malcolm Turnbull who was a Merchant Banker...and a Barrister

And you are trying to tell me that he didn't know exactly what have was doing in blocking the R.C.?

Please come out of the dark and into the light and see this total joke for what it is

I heard this morning that AMP would be keeping people waiting as long as 19 years for a refund of the money they are owed. This is completely unacceptable. The money should be paid back MUCH faster.

The government could pass laws to encourage more prompt remedies. It doesn't give any priority to fixing this mess, and that will doom them at the election. If people are hurting like this, and the government does nothing, ballot box retribution will be brutal.

Just one of many reasons why the voters are waiting with baseball bats for this government to call an election.

The federal Liberals are so toxic right now that it's affecting state elections. The Victorian state election was a bit of target practice. New South Wales is next, and if the Federal election is delayed until May there will be a change of government in NSW next March.

Your prediction could be fairly close to the mark. The first time the Liberal party contested a Federal election in 1946, Labor won it with a 2PP result of around 54-46. This is Labor's highest federal 2PP result against the Liberal party. The last Newspoll was 55-45 so it's possible.

Labor recorded higher 2PP figures in their 1943 annihilation of the UAP-Country coalition (58-42).
