The reason we are worried about climate change is that on average, over the entire world, the long term trend shows an undeniable increase in global surface temperatures and global ocean temperatures. For Roberts to keep spouting that 1930s was hotter than now rubbish proves that he is an idiot.

1. 30 years according to the WMO, based on when data became "good enough" isn't a long term trend. Wink

2. Nor is it an argument for a CO2 "fingerprint".

The Earth warms and cools in cycles, it has been doing so since the Earth was formed.

Trying to maintain a status quo is illogical and down right stupid it's a waste of time money and effort.

Naturally the Earth will go through the phases that it has to go through and there's nothing man can do about.
