Let's say the climate cools dramatically in the next 50 years.

How will you know if it's caused by human action, or if it's just part of the natural cycle?

The earth has been through many global warming and glacial cycles over it's life

Now I'm not exactly sure, but I don't think humans and our activities had much of an impact during these cycles.
Perhaps the dinosaurs were causing pollution and affecting their climates?

Now, the earth itself goes through seasons depending on it's proximity to the sun.
Effectively a heating and cooling in known and reasonably predictable cycles.
We know this because it happens every year and we know why it happens.

The earth travels around the galactic central point around every 200 million years
Who is to say that during that journey, unknown forces or conditions may have some bearing on our weather patterns and the way our climate reacts.

We don't recognise this as a pattern because we have not been in existence long enough to understand these cycles.

Don't get me wrong, I believe we should stop polluting our planet and take any steps possible to stop killing ourselves and the world.
But I do not believe we can change the climate in any serious way.
