Why not go full monty and make Penny Wong PM, that will make a first then.

Could be the Wong move....

Well considering me and a former anti-apartheid dissident from South Africa predicted Kevin Rudd to be PM, back in '2003'.
I kinda think I do ok on 'predictions' myself.  Wink

I predicted the Gillard coup and was met with stony silence or posts of amazement...... spot on it was, almost to the day....

Labor simply won't be able to help itself - Tannie's been around longer than Billy - give her a shot at the top spot ..... gotta make a 'statement' now and then.... see how far they can go with this stupidity....

We need a government of the people, by the people, and for the people - not for these stupid games and stupid policies...

To offer you some real fear - these clowns know exactly what they are doing when they impose some insane rule on us all......

Election of the PM and Ministers by the people...... or piss off....

It's very obvious that the ALP will be in power next Election as the NLP have basically self-destructed and Morrison has no personality at all or leadership skills.

But the ever eager Shorten will find his stay in the Lodge a very 'short' stay indeed.

I give him 3 months as Prime Minister before he is... REPLACED.

It would take 3/4 of the party to vote the leader out since Rudd changed the rules....While not impossible it is very unlikely???

There was a demon that lived out in the thin air. They said that any man who challenged her would die. Their controls would freeze up, their plans would buffet wildly, and they would disintegrate. The demon lived at Mach 1 on the equality meter, 50 women to every 50 men or else, where the hot air could no longer move out of the way. She lived behind a barrier through which they said no man could ever pass. They called it: The Feminist Barrier. Then they built a small plane, the X-1, to try and break the Feminist Barrier. And men came to the High Desert of California to ride it. They were called test pilots. And no one knew their names.

You mean the first member of the Senate to be PM?

She wouldn't be the first.

John Gorton was the first (and so far, only) senator to become PM.

There's nothing stopping it from happening again.

The thing is Shorty has the charisma of roadkill.

And like Juliar Gillard Shorty has the ability to make people immediately change the channel as soon as that weird eerie Furrowed Frankenstein Forehead appears and that awful groaning moaning droning starts.

But Shorty is the unions' preferred one and that is what counts.

Yes, that's correct.

Seeing as the unions created the Labor Party, it's only natural they they get to run things.

Why do you find that unusual?

I though the Labor party (and now the Libs) have made changes which make it much harder to roll a sitting PM?

Yes, they have.

Harder, but certainly not impossible.

I think Tanya stated that she wouldn't take PM position on account of her family commitments.

Also, Shorten has seen both Abbott & Turnbull go in his role of shitstirrer opposition. He is only good for that.

I reckon Derryn Hinch would upset the Applecart considerably if he became PM. At least we would have someone with some sort of moral fibre.

Anyway - as it stands...

Labour + Greens + Unions

verses

Liberal + Nationals + Democrats

...then you have the dark horse
Independents
