Phelps thinks Nauruan children unworthy
Nov 29th, 2018 at 3:38pm

Kerryn Phelps flags bill to get children off Nauru, but she needs at least one Government MP to back it

The Federal Parliament's newest crossbenchers will attempt to use their new-found balance of power to try to force the Government to remove all children and their families from Nauru.

The ABC has confirmed more than 40 children brought to Australia from Nauru are currently being held in so-called alternative places of detention, such as hotels, serviced apartments and hospitals.

Independent MP Kerryn Phelps said she would introduce a private member's bill to Parliament next week, to remove all the remaining children and their families from Nauru.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-11-29/kerryn-phelps-crossbench-mps-senators-chi...

And this woman is a doctor! She cares not for the children who are Nauruan. It's the middle finger for them as they wander aimlessly around the island thinking that life is pretty crappy. Any evidence of Nauruan kiddies threatening self-harm? Any evidence of Nuaruan kiddies suffering psychological harm?

Dr Phelps would be right at home in one of Hitler's concentration camps. What a vile woman.

The ALP, the progressive party, the party of ideas, the workers' friend, is the only Australian political party to roast four young Australians in roof cavities. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

Lameduck Phelpsy is unworthy to suggest the illegal invaders are unworthy.

She is proving to be just a waste of space as expected. Then what else would anyone have expected from someone whose main platform is gay marriage and Global Warming.

The relevance is Saladin....there are kids there we put there....."on her/our watch," and condemned them to stay there.

If Phelps can get them back here...fine.

Citizens of Nauru, including kids, are not currently denied access to proper medical assistance either in Nauru or here.

They do have free will. They can move elsewhere.

Or get treated properly as refugees, as Phelps seems to be a catalyst for.

Let's see who lines up behind her....especially any current or former LNP Members.

Cool

What happened to those country shopping economic migrants who were resettled in the USA, did they want to return to the tropical paradise called Nauru ?

Exactly. Those sent to the USA want to go back to Nauru. Why? I thought every asylum seeker wanted to go to America.

There is no Centrelink or cheap public housing in the USA, perhaps that is why these economic migrants as Bob Carr called them wanted to return to Nauru
