Morrison walks out on Phelps' Maiden Speech.

If any more proof were needed that we have an Arse for a Prime Minister, surely this is it....

"In what you would think would be an unusual move for a Prime Minister who is now leading a minority government — in which Phelps’ support is necessary — Scott Morrison left the House before Phelps started talking."

He's an arsehole.

Absolute scum.

I look forward to seeing him lose his job.

Maybe his cult will look after him when he's unemployed.

He likely had far more important things to do than to waste his time listening to Phelps give a speech on how fantastic she is.  If I were there, I would have moved the formal motion that 'the speaker no longer be heard.'

It was a back-patting diatribe of the first order.

I am far from being a fan of Phelps, but it was ignorance of the first order, on Morrison's part.
Along with a heavy dose of childish pettiness.
Pure and simple.
Whether one agrees, or disagrees, with a new member, their Maiden Speech deserves some respect.

As for having 'more important things to do'...
Morrison??? Seriously?? LOL...
Trying to save his own arse is about the only thing he is interested in.

Froggie, most of the Government Front Bench left, not just Morrison.  Yes, Labor kept their numbers there.

Has this Government ever shown any respect to anyone....If Scott Morrison thinks the cross bench will support his sorry ass no matter what he is a dickhead....The cross bench will bring this prick and his whole stinking Government crashing down around his ears if he is not careful!!!

Don't be silly - as a party stalwart a fine job will be found for him on huge salary and perks...

So your saying that as well as rude mean nasty and incompetent that they are also stupid, they haven't worked out that they need her vote to stay in government.

They knew (because she told them) that she will guarantee supply and confidence....just like the latest defector of today has stated.

I think they are all over it, ready and eager to have their long Summer break....come back briefly next year, and into a May election, the Libs know they are gonna lose.

So....why make unnecessary waves now?

Is't this an unnecessary wave of the type they should be avoiding, people have changed their mind before you know. Especially when given an incentive.

DNA....there are two sides to this.

1.  Politicians are at the end of the year and looking forward to a long break.

2.  The electorate is well and truly sick and tired of elections right now.

So neither Banks nor Phelps (both of whom need time to solidify/enhance their new positions in their seats) are going to cause any major disruption now.
