Who cares about your ancestry? We care about the here and now and what it means for us as individuals and as a nation.

If the Islamites had taken over instead of Whitey, the keffir Kaffirs would be in dire straits today... if they existed at all they would be paying homage to the Islamite masters and living under strict religious laws that would probably kill many of them...

Standing up for your culture and connection with the land would mean you were insulting Islam and The Prophet... you would be hanged or beheaded....

Why do you defend this? Do you see some common cause as a minority with the Muslims?

Perhaps you should sit down with their leaders and work out an equitable strategy that helps you both...

One of the biggest problems with the current grouping of people into small groups is that somehow they feel 'oppressed' without any specific reasoning to support this, and somehow, again without any clear and specific reasoning, they feel that 'allying' themselves with all the other little groups means they are all on the same side.

A total fallacy. In many cases, the enemy of your 'enemy' is only your friend until he has a knife at your throat in turn - since in many cases, to that ally/enemy - you are part of the 'oppressive' structure.

I think you all need to stop dreaming - get out of your mythical oppression complexes - and take a good look around you at the positive you have in THIS nation right now.

No Muslim citizen is oppressed - no woman is oppressed - no Indigenous person is oppressed - no gay is oppressed etc -rather it is the case that these, and other groups, are oppressing the majority by placing demands for special treatment that excludes that majority.

Everyone has the same basic rights, but these groups demand special dispensations at every turn and only to suit them.

The old sheila's trick - start a blue and then have the other 'side' who wanted nothing to do with it and have no interest in it - blamed for the whole thing.

Time for this and other nations to wake up.

Graps, I am glad you're not concerned about my ancestry. Neither am I. Soren however appears to have a new bee in his bonnet.

As for why I defend Muslims - I do not believe anybody deserves to be persecuted simply because of their religious beliefs. All the Muslims I have known - I have served with/studied with/worked with many - have been decent, hard working, honest, law abiding people. I do not doubt there are some Muslims who aren't but I've never encountered one. The Muslims today are treated in exactly the same way Catholics, the Jews, the Irish, the Indigenous Australians, the Indochinese have been in the past. Isn't it time we learnt from our previous mistakes? Roll Eyes

This was a term used to express disapproval of whitemen of low moral character who took advantage of aboriginal women.

In short they were generally drunks who had no hope of ever getting a white woman, so they took advantage of the aboriginal women. Mostly by the illegal use of a cheap bottle of wine, they often resorted to straight out rape, as the aboriginal women had no real concept of our laws, so the women in many cases were violently raped and had no idea how to complain to the police in those days.

Most certainly these white men were detested by the white community at large.

Thus the slur gin jokey.
