Looks like another thread devoted to Islamophobia. Tsk, tsk, what a complete WAFTM you have become Mechie. So you support sharia courts then? You seem to have no input. People will obey Sh'riah law if they want, no matter what the British legal system claims, Caveman, just as Jews will obey Rabbinical courts and Catholics their own courts. As long as both parties agree what ever settlement reached is OK and that the court is fair, they'll do what they want. Quote:How about you counter the post instead of screaming islamaphobe racist bigot whatever because not dping so makes you look like a supporter. Why bother? It is an Islamophobic post made by an Islamophobic poster. What happens in the UK concerns the UK. The UK is a secular society, not a Christian one. Something which appears to have escaped the writer of the article for some obscure reason... Quote:People are worried, and rightly so. People are worried because they fear the unknown. Few people have ever encountered a Muslim, let alone discussed their religion with one. People generally fear the "other", the "unknown" and Islam and Muslims are the current bogeymen because the media and the politicians have played it as one. Everything claimed about Muslims has been claimed about, downunder, the Irish, the Italians, the Greeks, the Yugoslavs, the Germans, the English, the Indochinese, the Chinese, the Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. All have been proven false for those immigrant groups. I do not doubt everything claimed about Muslims will prove to be just as false. In 20-30 years time our children will learn with surprise that their Muslim mates were once feared. Tsk, tsk. For all your pseudo-intellectual waffle you really must have your head up your jacksie. "What happens in the UK concerns the UK?" And you don't think that what happens there isn't happening here? Like everything else we're just that little bit behind ey. And you don't have any global awareness of the effects of the mass migration of so called refugees across Europe? You need a labrador & a white cane. The UK is this silly little nation in Europe, Gnads. Australia is the Pacific, straddling the connection to the Indian ocean. We are a large continent. What happens in the UK stays in the UK, no matter what you might claim. Time you learned the difference between the two nations, methinks. Heritage means a lot to many people Brian. many Australian people have countless ancestors that come from the UK. I'm from the UK, and it means squat all to me. You? Don't answer that, Homo. You couldn't give a hoot either. What sort of pansy would krap on about their British heritage? We grew here.
