If you were a Muslim in Australia, how would you view the way many in Australian society treat you? Would you characterise it as "victimise" or "oppress"? How about "hatred"? Muslims have done more damage to Australians than vice versa Brian. Really? I don't see any Muslim invasion occurring, Hammer. I don't see any efforts by Muslims to overthrow the Australian Government in any serious way. Perhaps you need to climb down off that high horse for a change and actually look like what it is to be a Muslim in Australia today. Walk a mile in their shoes, Hammer. You might find it rather instructive to experience the hatred and victimisation that you are subjecting them to, all the time. Tsk, tsk. Why do they keep coming then? Why not stop in Jakarta? They don't have to come to Australia, you know. Indonesia is not a signatory of the UN Refugee Convention, Soren. If they had chosen to stay in Indonesia they would have been subject to arbitrary detention, they would have not had the right to work, to educate their children, to receive medical care. Australia is a great deal more attractive. Something you, as a refugee from Europe would agree on, I think, Soren. Tsk, tsk. Just think, people wanting a decent life for themselves and their families. Funny that, hey? Such a terrible idea, right? They get a decent life, not your imaginary victimisation. They wouldn't come if your hatred fantasies were true. If they stayed in Indonesia they would be subject to the possibility of arbitrary deportation. It seems being hated in Australia is better than being hated in Indonesia, Soren, despite your best efforts to equalise them. Tsk, tsk.
